Hello ROMS families,

Please join us at our next PAC meeting, Thursday November 15th, in the learning commons at 6pm.

Our Guest speakers will be Kyle Goy, Emma Cottier and Darcy McNee, who will speak and share their Google Presentation for the PAC.  They will have the ROMS Chromebooks out and available for use if parents would like to practice going through the Google account. If you have your own laptop and wish to use it at the presentation you are welcome to bring your own.

Overview of the presentation,

General Introductions - What is Google Apps for Education/GSuite? How and why are we using it at ROMS?

3 Breakout Sessions:

  • Just Getting Started – for those parents/adults who don’t have a Google Account and would like to start one

  • Student Led Demos – students on hand to demonstrate and    showcase some of their work in Google

  • Independent Playtime – ‘Google Ninja Training Challenge’ that parents can work through independently if they have their own Google Account and want to learn more

FREE Teen drop-ins in Saanich

Saanich runs three teen centres (ages 10-18): 

"The Flipside" at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, 

"The Backdoor" at Gordon Head Recreation Centre and 

"The Upside" at Saanich Commonwealth Place. Each centre offers drop-in programs as well as groups and special activities.

Teen centres are open to everyone! People of all genders, sexualities, bodies, ancestries, cultures, and abilities are welcome. See saanich.ca for info on the teen centres.

More Teen Lounges

Greenglade Community Centre, Panorama Recreation Centre and Boys and Girls Club at Kaare Norgaard Central Saanich Club offer fun, safe opportunities to hang out with other teens, meet new friends and have a great night. It's your space and your time — enjoy!


Free shuttle to Panorama Recreation Centre is available after Teen Lounge for those would like to attend the Friday Night Extreme Skate* or the Saturday night Extreme Swim*!

*Student rates apply for drop-in skating and swimming
