We are so excited to welcome our new and returning students to Royal Oak on Tues, Sept 7th! As usual, the first day will be a shortened day (9-10:30am). We will begin full days starting on Wed, Sept 8th (9am to 3:08pm).
What to do on the first day:
- Students should arrive at school no earlier than 8:45am and should be wearing their mask
- Gr 6 and 7 students will meet on the field, Gr 8 students will meet on the basketball courts
- Staff will greet students and let them know which division they are in
- Students will line up by division (there will be cones with the division numbers on them)
- Once students are in their class line ups, teachers will escort their class into the school
- Students don't need to bring their school supplies on the first day, their classroom teacher will let them know the plan for the rest of the week
- School busses will be running on the first day - the only change is that they will pick students up afterschool just after our 10:30am dismissal
- The main driveway tends to be very congested at pick up/drop off times, you may find it easier to drop off/pick up on Greenlea Ave
