Dear ROMS families,
Well, it has been quite a year! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our ROMS community for your support during this challenging time. I also want to thank our amazing ROMS staff for your work this year - the compassion and care you have shown to our students and families has been remarkable! I am so proud of the work we have done this year to guide our school community through a global pandemic.
While we don't know exactly what September will bring, we do know that we expect school to be "nearly normal" next year, with a return to all the things that students look forward to at school, including sports, clubs, etc. We are excited to welcome so many new families to the Royal Oak school community in September. If you are new to ROMS, there will be an opportunity to sign up for a tour of the school during the last week of the summer break. Please check the ROMS website at https://royaloak.sd63.bc.ca/ during the week of Aug 23rd to sign up for a tour.
This pandemic has been a challenge in learning to navigate uncertainty, but it has also been an opportunity for great growth and resilience. I wish you all a wonderful and safe summer, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in September.
