Welcome back to the 2019-20 school year! We are looking forward to a great year and especially want to welcome all our new Royal Oak families joining us this year. Here's a quick look at the first week of school and a reminder about our Welcome Back BBQ:
Tues, Sept 3: 9-10:30am
- school buses are running today
- students congregate in the front of the school between 8:30 and 9am
- At 9am we will call in the grade 6's to the Multi-Purpose room to find out whose class they are in, and grade 7's will come in to the gym at 9am to find out their classes
- Grade 8's will stay outside until 9:30 with staff circulating, at 9:30 they will come into the gym to find out their teachers
- dismissal at 10:30am
Wed, Thurs and Fri: Regular days 9:05-3:08
- school buses running as usual
- student should bring their school supplies and gym strip (watch for further instructions from their teacher)
- no pizza day this week, pizza will be served on Fridays starting next week
- Wednesday is a homeroom-based day, students will go to FAAS and PE starting on Thurs/Fri this week
Welcome Back BBQ: Wed, Sept 25th from 4:30-7pm

Looking forward to a great year! Our school looks amazing thanks to the work of our facilities and custodial staff! The classrooms are ready to welcome our students thanks to the dedication of our fantastic teaching staff! All we need now is our students - see you on Tuesday!
