1626 hrs, the Saanich Police received a report of a bear sighting in
the Colquitz Creek Trail near Mann Ave and Glanford Ave. We conducted
an extensive search of the area, but failed to locate a bear or any
other witnesses. Conservation Officers were notified, but did not
attend. Area residents are advised to use caution while walking in
the area and to secure small pets.
