Principal’s message
Today was a day to remember at Royal Oak! This week we had a school wide focus on raising money for Terry Fox and Cops for Cancer. We raised $801 for Terry Fox and $4800 for Cops for Cancer. This total means we met our $5000 goal!
At a school wide assembly today, Mr. Azim, Mr. Stanchfied and brave grade 6 students Pamela F. and Spencer L. shaved their heads to support the cause. Another grade 6 student shared a story of her personal experience with cancer and touched us all. Next week, a number of staff members, including Mr. Bergeron and myself, will go into the dunk tank. Overall, we had a lots fun as a school community and had some significant learning about helping others and reaching out to those who need our support. I am one proud principal today. Thank you for sharing your wonderful young adults with us.
Sincerely
Carly
