Volleyball: There will be a very important meeting for all grade 6 and 7 girls on both recreational and competitive teams who are playing volleyball today at FIRST recess. All players must attend if they want to play in their games today.
Intra-murals: Reminder to divisions 8-3, 8-6, 8-7 and 8-8 of their intra-mural dodgeball games Wednesday at lunch.
Chess: Room 230 is open today for playing chess at lunch recess. Everyone is welcome from beginners to experts.
Band Sectionals: Grade 6 band sectionals will be held today at lunch advisory time for all bass guitar and baritone players.
Choir: Choir will be cancelled today and will resume again on Thursday afternoon.
Girls Group: Girls rotation 2 will meet at Advisory at the Blue Conference to get ready to walk to Brydan Park for some fun activities, weather permitting. Don't forget to bring your jacket!
Judo Club: Judo Club will be practicing today after school in the MPR.
ROMS Parent Review
Volleyball: This week's volleyball practice schedule can be found on the ROMS Athletics website and on the PE office doors. Also, game schedules for all competitive and recreational teams have been posted on lowerislandschoolsports.ca so please have a look to see where your team will be playing throughout the season.
Grade 8 Parents: Grade 8 Students have until Friday, March 13th to email Miss Cottier a baby photo for the yearbook.
Your Vision is Our Vision Project: Just a heads-up that the Central Saanich Lions Club is coming into Royal Oak on the morning of February 7th to screen our grade 6 students using the Spot Vision Screener. This is a yearly no cost program designed to assist identifying children in our community with vision problems. An information letter will be sent home with all grade 6 students as well as posted on our website.
Grade 8 Families:
The Grade 8 Farewell January meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 29 at 7:00. With a 2 month delay for this meeting, it is REALLY go-time!! We hope to see you there so we can make the Grade 8 Farewell a memorable event for everyone!
