Basketball: This week's practice schedule is posted on the ROMS Athletics website, and game schedules are posted on lowerislandschoolsports.ca. Games for competitive teams start next week so be sure to get your permission forms handed into Mr. Menzies!

ROMS Swim Team: The Swimming season had begun and the next practice is tomorrow morning at 7:30 am at Commonwealth pool.

Cross Country: Meeting at 1st recess in Ms.Wheatley's room for any xcountry runners who are competing today in Juan de Fuca

Screamfest: The Spooktacular Screamfest is next Wednesday and Thursaday at Claremont Secondary School. Tickets are $10, and are on sale outside the office. Don't miss out on this amazing event featuring mid-way games, a dunk tank, a Vortex Tunnel, and a Haunted Walk.

Student Vote: Student Vote is on Thursday October 17th. Make sure classes are registered and please bring your student ID. You can still vote if you do not have it. Polling stations are in the MPR

Lost and Found: Just a reminder that the lost and found is displayed in the lower hallway by the Canteen. Please have a look and grab your things. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday October 18th.


Grade 6 Immunization Consents: A reminder to all parents, whether consenting or declining immunizations, to have the consents back to the school. If you have any questions please call the School’s Public Health Nurse, Lesley Marsden, at 250-544-2411.

Grade 8 Families:

We are holding the first Grade 8 Farewell meeting in the Learning Commons on Thursday Oct. 17 at 7:00 pm. If you are interested in volunteering to help plan this event for the Grade 8 Class of 2020, we would love to see you there!!
