Band:
There will be a jazz band rehearsal today at 1:16pm in the band room.  Any grade 6 and 7 band students who are interested in joining for next year are invited to attend.


Band students please return any school rental instruments and method books to Mr. Bridgman by tomorrow.


Boys Group: A reminder that Boys' Group meet today at the Beginning of Advisory in the Blue Conference Room.


Classroom Cleaning:
Please take both, garbage and recycling, out to the big green bins this week to prevent the bins from being filled to capacity on the last week of school.  


Drawing Club: Please see Ms. Kardash In Room 123 if you are interested in joining a Drawing Club Thursdays at Lunch starting April 11th! 


Exams: A reminder to students and staff that there are many exams taking place throughout the school for the next few days. Please keep the hallways clear and quiet during class time. Thank you for your consideration.


Gaga Ball Courts: On the courts today is Grade 7s, tomorrow is Grade 8’s.


Grade 8 Farewell

There are TWO more chances to buy your tickets. Today and Tomorrow during lunch activity time only!

NOTE: You cannot buy tickets at the door.
From the Learning Commons - ALL library books are due in tomorrow! Please be looking in your desk, your locker, and at home. Ms. Gaudet will be sending out lists to homeroom teachers early next week.
Lost & Found: Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity tomorrowt.


Yearbook:

There are 20 yearbooks left. See Miss Cottier in room 222 during morning recess or outside activity time to purchase a yearbook. First come, first serve for $40 cash each.


Paper Recycling Today:

Just a reminder that it is paper recycling day today. Please make sure that you send a student down with your recycling to the bins at the beginning of Advisory.


Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice


ROMS SPORTS:

Athletic Leadership:
Reminder to all members of Athletic Leadership of our Amazing Race planning meeting today during advisory. Please bring your lunches to the gym after block 3.


Amazing Race:
The third and final day of the Amazing Race ROMS is this Friday at second recess. All remaining teams are asked to come to the gym after advisory to compete. Changing into PE strip is highly recommended this day, as competitors may get wet. Who will win the2019 Amazing Race Royal Oak?!?

Attention: Gr 5 Parents coming into ROMS

Dear Gr 5 Parents,

I would like to invite you to attend our final Royal Oak PAC meeting of the year on Thurs, June 20th from 6-8pm.  Normally our PAC meets at 7pm, but we are going to be available at 6pm to meet with you to answer any questions you may have about the transition to middle school, and to give you a tour of the school.  The PAC exec will also be available to chat about opportunities to get involved  at Royal Oak (in whatever way it works with your schedule).  We hope you'll join us for this special opportunity to connect and learn a more about the school and our wonderful PAC!

Homework Club: ***Last day of Homework club will be Friday, June 21st. Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.

Grade 8 Farewell - Monday June 24th, 6:00pm, $15

In addition to the original three Fridays in June, the Farewell Committee has added an extra day - this Thursday - for you to buy tickets.

The Grade 8 farewell event, called “A Black and White Farewell” will be an evening full of fun, food and friends.  It is a celebration of all the memorable times the Grade 8’s have shared at Royal Oak and a chance to wish them well as they head to high school. It is open to all Grade 8 students (please note: dress will be summer casual - any colour welcome). 

The Grade 8 Farewell is MONDAY, JUNE 24th at 6:00pm in the ROMS gym. TICKETS: $15.00
