Band: All grade 6 flute players have sectionals on Thursday.
Jazz Band: There will be a jazz band rehearsal on Thursday.
Attention all choir members, there is a very important rehearsal today at 1:16 in the band room. There will also be a rehearsal on Friday at 1:16 in the band room.
Ga Ball Courts:
It’s Grade 8’s on the courts today! Tomorrow will be the Gr 6's turn.
The next Youth in Action meeting is this Thursday at 11:23 in Miss Cottier's room to discuss our next campaign initiative!
Popsicles: Canadian Sunrise Popsicles on sale at recess today. Real orange juice, strawberries, and Canadian maple syrup. All proceeds to Yanelys's education fund. $2 while supplies last.
Popcorn: On sale at morning recess today at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.
Canteen Thursday: On sale at recess tomorrow – pizza bread, cookies & ice tea.
Badminton: Tomorrow at 8:00 am there will be a qualifying practice for all grade 6's interested in qualifying for the City Championships team. All students who want to qualify for the positions on this team must attend. Please go to the ROMS Athletics website for additional details regarding badminton.
8 Intra Murals:
Reminder to 8-3, 8-4 and 8-6 of their intra-mural dodge ball championship Wednesday at lunch. The Cup is on the line.
There will be a rugby practice all grade 6/7 boys teams today from 3:15 - 4:45. Any students who are still interested in playing are welcome and encouraged to attend! Also, a reminder to all rugby players that tomorrow is the last day to hand in your permission forms to go to the UVIC Rugby Clinic tomorrow after school. Please go to the ROMS Athletics website for schedules and links to forms for rugby this season.
The Girls Rugby Team will meet Ms. Adams on the field to practice after school today.

We will discuss what students are learning about substance use, sexual orientation, gender diversity and modern masculinity.

2019-20 Registration is ongoing for new registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province. Registration packages are available on-line or at the School Office.
Please note that we will not be hosting an Open House this year (previously held in February). An information evening will be held later in May for all confirmed incoming Grade 5 students including new (grade 6/7/8) registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province.
Returning ROMS students do not have to complete a registration form. Grade 8 students transitioning to Claremont for Grade 9 in September do not have to complete a registration form for Claremont.
Homework Club: Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.
