Royal Oak welcomes Ms Bouley as a new teacher to division M8. Ms Bouley comes to us as an experienced Middle School teacher who will be taking the place of Mr Hilleren. Please give Ms Bouley a warm RO welcome.

Ga Ball Courts:
Our new Ga Ga ball courts are now installed. To handle the demand to start with, we will be running a usage schedule. The schedule will start with grade 6's today, grade 7's tomorrow and grade 8's on Wednesday.
The rules and schedule are posted on the Ga Ga ball court walls.
There will be a design and build challenge this Tuesday at lunch in room 230
Canteen Tuesday: On sale at first recess tomorrow is pizza bread, cookies & iced tea.
Popcorn: On sale at morning recess at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.
Athletics: The ROMS Athletics website had been updated with important information for Rugby, Badminton, and Track and Field. Please have a look to inform yourself of the details related to each sport. The Athletics website can be accessed by clicking on the Eagle head logo on the main Royal Oak homepage.
The Athletic Leadership meeting will be this Friday, April 5th, during Advisory.
There will be an important meeting for all students interested in Badminton later this week. Please stay tuned to announcements for updates and details.
Field hockey: All girls interested in playing field hockey for Royal Oak this year. Please meet with Ms. Fuller on Tuesday - FIRST RECESS in her classroom - Room 124 on the Green Floor.
A reminder that the UVIC Rugby clinic is this Thursday April 4th. Permission forms can be found on the ROMS Athletics website. Please see Mr. Reston if you have any questions.
There will be an important Rugby meeting today or all grade 6/7 boys and all girls who are interested in playing at SECOND recess in the gym. Please be there on time and bring your forms. Anyone interested in playing are welcome to attend the meeting. See you there!

ROMS PARENT REVIEW:
2019-20 Registration is ongoing for new registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province. Registration packages are available on-line or at the School Office.
Please note that we will not be hosting an Open House this year (previously held in February). An information evening will be held later in May for all confirmed incoming Grade 5 students including new (grade 6/7/8) registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province.
Returning ROMS students do not have to complete a registration form. Grade 8 students transitioning to Claremont for Grade 9 in September do not have to complete a registration form for Claremont.
Homework Club: Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.
