Choir Practice: A reminder to choir members that we will practice on Friday at 1:16 in the band room.
Today girls rotation 1 will meet at the Blue Conference to have a quick lunch and head outside to do a fun activity. See you all at Advisory!
Grade 8’s: A reminder to all grade 8 students and teachers that tomorrow you will be going to Claremont to watch the musical The Addams Family – buses leave here at 11:45 and you will return at 3:00 pm. Students will eat their lunch prior to boarding the buses.
The Judo Club will be practicing today after school. See you on the mats!
Homework Club: No homework club Wednesday morning, see you Thursday!
Miss Cottier is holding an information session for students interested in attending a Me to We Kenya Service Learning Trip in July 2020 on Thursday, April 11th at 5pm in the Royal Oak Learning Commons. This trip is an open to students in finishing Grades 8 through 12 at the time of travel attending either Royal Oak Middle School or Claremont Secondary. There are 18 travel spots available for students.
Now that our teams have been settled, please be sure to come today's mandatory Science Challengers meeting at lunch recess in Room 230.
Congratulations to Ariana S, Isabella S, Leah S, Lauren C, Pyper M and Julia N for successfully competing this last weekend in Vancouver to win invitations to compete at The Summit World Cheerleading Championships held in Orlando, FL. in May.
Canteen Tuesday: On sale at first recess today in the Canteen is pizza bread, cookies & hot chocolate.
Canteen tomorrow: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,
Athletic Leadership: This week we will meet on Thursday as we are hosting the Cordova Bay Elementary Basketball Tournament on Friday.
Have you ever wanted to play football? The Saanich Wolverines Football Club will be here today to offer an introductory practice clinic to any student who might be interested in trying football this upcoming season. If you are interested, please come to the gym at SECOND recess today to get more information and to try a few practice drills.
Gr 8 Rugby: Notice to all grade 8 boys - our first rugby practice is Wednesday after school. Cleats and mouth guards mandatory.

Swim Club: Congratulations to the ROMS Swim team on your performance at last Sunday's final swim meet and on a great season. A big thank you to our coaches at Pacific Coast Swimming and to the parents who helped support our team throughout the season! Reminder to swimmers that we will have a team photo tomorrow at First recess in the gym.
ROMS PARENT REVIEW:
2019-20 Registration began on February 4th at 8:00 am for new registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province. Registration packages are available on-line or at the School Office.
Please note that we will not be hosting an Open House this year (previously held in February). An information evening will be held later in May for all confirmed incoming Grade 5 students including new (grade 6/7/8) registrations coming from Out of District, Out of Catchment, Private Schools or Out of Province.
Returning ROMS students do not have to complete a registration form. Grade 8 students transitioning to Claremont for Grade 9 in September do not have to complete a registration form for Claremont.
Homework Club: Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.

Thrifty Smile Cards: All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help with PAC Fund raising. If your family is not intending to use it, please return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school office. In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would like a card, please contact email@example.com.
