All grade 6 percussionists have sectionals today at 1pm in the band room.
Jazz Band: There will be a jazz band rehearsal today at 1:30pm in the band room.
Boys Group: A reminder that Boys' Group meet today at the Beginning of Advisory in the Blue Conference Room.
Pink Shirt Day: Order a pink shirt, order forms are available outside the office or on our website, the cost is $20 per shirt. Sample sizes will be available to try on from 1-2 pm tomorrow. Order deadline is Monday, February 4th.
Drama Club: There is a brief meeting today at 1:16 in room 223 for all drama club members.
Gr 8 Transition: Reminder Divisions 8-6, 7, 8, and 9 go to Claremont today. Please head out to the buses immediately after home room.
Paper Recycling Today:
Just a reminder that it is paper recycling day today. Please make sure that you send a student down with your recycling to the bins at the beginning of Advisory.
PJ Day: Student Council is hosting PJ Day tomorrow. Everyone wear your pj’s for school spirit.
Youth In Action: The next Youth in Action Meeting is today at 11:23am in Miss Cottier's room. A reminder that our book drive runs until January 30th!
Canteen Thursday: On sale at first recess today -mac & cheese, cookies & hot chocolate.
Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice
This week's volleyball practice schedule for all teams can be found on the ROMS Athletics website and on the PE office doors. Please have a look to see when you are practicing this week. Games have begun for competitive teams this week, so parents and players are encouraged to go to lowerislandschoolsports.ca for games schedules for all teams. Parents are also encouraged to ensure they have all of their SD63 drivers requirements done and up to date if they plan on driving other students to away games.
Playing after school today is Mr. Hastings' 6/7 boys competitive team here at ROMS.
Athletic Leadership member scheduled to score keep are reminded of their shift later today.
Congratulations to all of our teams who have played their first games of the season so far this week. All teams have done a great job representing Royal Oak and are off to a great start to the season! GO EAGLES!
ROMS PARENT REVIEW:
Homework Club: Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.

8 FAREWELL BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER

Time: 11:23-11:38am & 1:16-1:56pm (First recess and lunch activity time)

Volunteers will be outside the office to accept baked goods.
Please label any items as gluten free, peanut free, or dairy free, otherwise, all baked goods will be accepted! And don’t forget to send money with your child that day to purchase these yummy treats!

Thrifty Smile Cards: All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help with PAC Fund raising. If your family is not intending to use it, please return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school office. In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would like a card, please contact email@example.com.
