Adel Training Group: The Adel (AA DULL) trainers are meeting today Block 3 in the Drama Room. Bring your lunch--see you there!
Anyone interested in playing chess is welcome to play every Wednesday at lunch in Mr. Azim’s room 230. Students from all grades and skill levels are welcome. Whether you are a beginner or a competitive chess player, stop in today and “check” it out!

PJ Day: Student Council is hosting PJ Day on Friday January 25th. Everyone wear your pj’s for school spirit.
Youth In Action: The next Youth in Action Meeting is Thursday at 11:23am in Miss Cottier's room. A reminder that our book drive runs until January 30th!

Athletic Leadership: Athletic Leadership members scheduled to score keep today for the volleyball games after school are reminded of your shift after school today.
Gr 6/7 Intra murals: The first round of 6/7 dungeon ball intra murals took place yesterday. Divisions 6-1, M-1, M-2, and M-3 represented the blue floor, and divisions 7-4, M-5, M-6, and M-9 represented the green floor. While the blue floor jumped out to an early lead, the green floor roared back to win game 1 of the best of seven series. Game 2 will be played next Tuesday. Mr. Menzies will visit classes who are scheduled to represent their floor next week.
Gr 8 Intra Murals:
Congratulations to the Grade 6/7 Girls Competitive Volleyball team on being undefeated so far this season! Next games are at SMU!
This week's volleyball practice schedule can be found on the ROMS Athletics website and on the PE office doors. Please have a look to see when you are practicing this week. Games have begun for competitive teams this week, so parents and players are encouraged to go to lowerislandschoolsports.ca for games schedules for all teams. Parents are also encouraged to ensure they have all of their SD63 drivers requirements done and up to date if they plan on driving other students to away games.
There will be a meeting for all girls on Jim Smyth's volleyball team (ROMS Pink) in the PE office today at FIRST recess to confirm details around your away game today at PCS. All team members must attend.

ROMS PARENT REVIEW:
Homework Club: Extra academic support is available to students through the homework club. This is a drop in service that will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 8-9 am in the Learning Commons, and Tuesday afternoon in Room 215 from 3:10-4:10 pm.

Volunteers will be outside the office to accept baked goods.
Please label any items as gluten free, peanut free, or dairy free, otherwise, all baked goods will be accepted! And don’t forget to send money with your child that day to purchase these yummy treats!

Thrifty Smile Cards: All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help with PAC Fund raising. If your family is not intending to use it, please return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school office. In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would like a card, please contact email@example.com.
