Band Sectionals:

All grade 6 saxophonists have sectionals tomorrow during advisory in the band room.

There will be a jazz band rehearsal on tomorrow during advisory in the band room.

Band Concert: The year end outdoor band concert and BBQ will take place on Tuesday, May 29.  BBQ starts at 6pm and the concert starts at 7pm.

Eagles Club:
Members of the Eagle Club meet today in Rm 215 in block 2.  Bring your permission forms for the Elders Tea next week.

Early Dismissal: A Reminder to students and staff that tomorrow is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 2:00 pm tomorrow.

Spring Fair BBQ – The ROMS PAC Spring Fair and BBQ is on Friday. Games2U will be there with hampster ball party, obstacle course challenge, bumper soccer, bouncy house party, bungee joust and inflatable slide….and don’t forget about the dunk tank…

Ms. Hunter, Mr. Bergeron, Mr. Goy, Ms. Cottier, Ms. Broome, Mr. Ball, Mr. Kenny, Mrs. Buxcey & Mr. Menzies are just some of the teachers and staff who will be in the dunk. Come out and see if you can dunk them!! Friday, May 25th!!

Popcorn: On sale at morning recess at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.

Canteen Thursday: On sale at recess tomorrow -chocolate chip cookies, mac & cheese & ice tea.


Athletic Leadership:
There will be a general meeting for all students in Athletic Leadership in the gym today. Please bring your lunch to the gym after block 3.

Field Hockey:
Attention all Field Hockey players!  Please bring a topping of your choice on Friday, May 25 to Ms. Fuller's classroom at SECOND RECESS for our season ending Sundae celebration.

Grade 8 Intra Murals:
Notice to all grade 8's that there will be drop-in badminton intra-murals at lunch today. See you in the gym with your PE strip. 

Track and Field:
This week's track and field practice is now posted on the ROMS Athletics webpage. Also, results from the first two track meets have been posted on lowerislandschoolsports.ca. Please have a look to see which events you have qualified to compete at the city finals in. There will be an important meeting today at FIRST recess in the gym for all students attending today's track and field meet #3. All students must attend as we will be discussing transportation and other meet details.

School Bus Registration 2018/19

School bus registration is now open for the 2018/19 school year. Please use the link provided to register your student. To ensure a seat on the bus please have your registration completed by June 29, 2018. The bus routes listed below are to be used aAC Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 17th at 6:30 PMs a guideline only. ROMS TV Script, May 23


Today is Wednesday,  May 23 and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS. Our weather calls for full sunshine again today and a high of 18 degrees.  

The end of the school year is coming fast!  Hang on! Keep asking questions and clarifications as to what work might be missing.


As the weather gets nice, we tend to bring packaging out with us for snacks.  You know what to do with your packaging and snack recycling.


Quiz your teacher:

The  World Famous Spring Fling fun night is this Friday!  This is a family event. Be sure you come out and bring your friends..  It starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 8 pm. Games 2 U will be there with Hamster Ball and many other games.   To top things off, the Dunk tank is back! Yes be sure to come out and dunk Ms Hunter in the dunk tank!


The early closure day this week is for teachers to connect with parents and students that have academic concerns.  Teachers will contact parents that they need to see.
