Band Sectionals:

All grade 6 saxophonists have sectionals today during advisory in the band room.


Girls Group:
Today we will be celebrating everyone's birthday! Girls from both rotations will meet at Room 125 and we will make cupcakes from scratch. Arrive promptly when the bell rings as we will be making the cupcakes first, then having lunch, followed by decorating the cupcakes. See you there!


Grade 6 Immunizations: Just a reminder that Grade 6 Immunizations are this morning. A runner will be sent to the classrooms.


Judo Club: Judo Club members please return your permission forms for Friday's luncheon to Mr. Mollard.


Science Challengers:
Our competition is tomorrow at UVIC.  Please see Mr Azim today at morning recess if you have any questions.


Canteen today: On sale at first recess at the Canteen is Fallafels, cookies and iced tea.


Canteen tomorrow: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,


ROMS SPORTS:

Badminton:
Congratulations to our students who played in the badminton City Finals last night. There were some great matches played and several students from ROMS were city champions. The 2018 badminton season is officially wrapped up! Go Eagles!


Field Hockey: This is a reminder to all field hockey players that there is NO practice this week as there is a staff meeting.  Players are reminded that they must check in with Ms. Fuller at First Recess on Wednesday to confirm how they are traveling to and from UVic for our games on Thursday.


Grade 8 Intra Murals:
Notice to all grade 8's of drop-in badminton intra-murals Wednesday at lunch. See you in thegym with your gym strip.


Track and Field: The first track and field meet of the year is this Thursday after school at Uvic's Centennial Stadium. Mr Menzies will be holding a meeting today during FIRST recess for all track and field participants to make a final check of the events they are signed up for. All students participating in track and field must attend. Also, students and parents are encouraged to confirm transportation arrangements to Uvic for Thursday. ROMS PAC

Spring Fair – ROMS PAC is hosting a Spring Fair on Friday, May 25th from 5:30-8:00 pm on the school grounds. Games2U, Dunk Tank, Raffle Baskets, Silent Auction, Snow Cones, candy bags, and family BBQ (burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salad, chips & drinks). Please bring the whole family out. Today is Tuesday, May 8 and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS. Our weather calls for sunshine, some clouds with a high of 16 degrees.  

Congratulations to the band students that performed in Sidney yesterday!

The Gr 8 students go to Claremont today for their tour and student orientation.

Reminders:

Gym strip!  Have you washed your strip in the last two weeks?

 

With the  nice weather, it is important to go outside to get fresh air.

 

Once students come onto school grounds in the morning, they are expected to stay on the grounds until 3:06pm.

 

Recycling:    All paper items from your recycle tower, are to go in the big blue bin at the recycle station.
