Band Sectionals: All grade 6 trumpet players have sectionals today during advisory in the band room.

Jazz Band: There will be a jazz band rehearsal today during advisory in the band room

Boys Group: Boys Group: A reminder that Boys' Group meet today at the Beginning of Advisory in the Blue Conference Room.

Craft Club: Today at 1:15 in the Art Room. See Ms. Ozi for details.

Lego Club: Lego Club is finished for the year, no lego club until the fall.

Non Instructional Day: A reminder to students that there is no school tomorrow.

Paper Recycling Today:

Just a reminder that it is paper recycling day today. Please make sure that you send a student down with your recycling to the bins during homeroom this morning.

ROMS TV News: No ROMS TV News today due to pizza day.

Youth In Action:
There is a Youth in Action meeting today in Miss Cottier's room at 11:23am for some We Movement Trivia!

Pizza Day: Pizza Day – Cleanest Grounds Day - Classes will be called in the following order:

Athletic Leadership:
Reminder to all Athletic Leadership members of your meeting today during advisory, as tomorrow is a pro-d day. Please bring your lunch to the gym after block 3.

Congratulations to our grade 8 badminton team on their play last night at the City Playoffs. Our badminton players had some great matches and did a great job representing ROMS. Good luck to all the team members who advanced to the City Finals next Monday at SMUS! Go Eagles!


Our Royal Oak 6/7 boys team played some great games at Shoreline yesterday and are looking good part way through the season. Our girls team also had some great games yesterday at Glanford. Great job Eagles! Both teams are reminded of their practices after school next Monday.

Track and Field: Next week's track and field practice schedule will be posted on the ROMS athletics webpage tomorrow. Students who intend on participating in next week's track meet at UVIC must have your permission forms into Mr. Menzies or Mr. Sparanese by Tuesday May 8th. The first track meet is on May 10th and students must also be able to tell Mr. Menzies how they are getting to Uvic and home also on Tuesday next week. A digital copy of the track and field permission form can be found on the ROMS athletic web page



Travino Lane: Please avoid going through the Travino Lane development when dropping your son/daughter off at school. This is a private road.

Art Room Request for Magazines: ROMS families.......Please consider donating your used magazines to the art room. We are in NEED for sports, food, fashion, travel, lifestyle, surf, boating, clothing/shoes....currently we are low in all categories. Just drop them off to the art room! Spring Fair – ROMS PAC is hosting a Spring Fair on Friday, May 25th from 5:30-8:00 pm on the school grounds. Games2U, Dunk Tank, Raffle Baskets, Silent Auction, Snow Cones, candy bags, and family BBQ (burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salad, chips & drinks). Please bring the whole family out.
