Band Sectionals: All grade 6 trumpet players have sectionals on Thursday, May 3 during advisory in the band room.
Eagles Club: A reminder to Eagles Club members of our meeting today in block 2 in rm 215. See you there. Please bring your permission form for the Elders Tea.
Gr 8 Leadership: Just a reminder to the Grade 8's who are helping Ms. Hunter with the Grade 5's to please meet in the MPR at 9:00 am.
Mountain Bike Club: Will all mountain bike club members please attend the check in meeting with Mr. Kenny and Ms. Mah in the Art room, first recess.
Science Challengers: There is an important meeting today at lunch recess for all Science Challengers. It is our last meeting before the competition. Please be sure to attend!

Athletic
Leadership:
There
will be a meeting today during advisory in the gym for all athletic
leadership students on the Survivor ROMS planning committee.
Please bring your lunch to the gym after block 3. This week's
Athletic Leadership meeting will be tomorrow as Friday is a Pro-D
day.
Badminton:
Congratulations
to the grade 7 badminton team who competed in the City Playoffs last
night at SMUS. Our badminton players played some exciting matches and
did a great job representing Royal Oak in the tournament. Well done
Eagles! The grade 8 team plays today after school at SMUS, and there
will be an important meeting at FIRST recess in the gym for all
member of the team to discuss details. All grade 8 players must
attend.

Track
and Field:
This
week's track and field practice schedule can be found on the ROMS
Athletics webpage. The next practice will be tomorrow morning at
8:15am, and sign up for all events will occur at practice. The first
track meet is next week on May 10, and permission packages will be
handed out at practice tomorrow, so students are asked to attend
practice to prepare for the first meet. Please go to
lowerislandschoolsports.ca for further details on track and field.

Travino Lane: Please avoid going through the Travino Lane development when dropping your son/daughter off at school. This is a private road.
Art Room Request for Magazines: ROMS families.......Please consider donating your used magazines to the art room. We are in NEED for sports, food, fashion, travel, lifestyle, surf, boating, clothing/shoes....currently we are low in all categories. Just drop them off to the art room! A Big welcome to the Lochside students who are here visiting us. These students will be our next years grade 6 students. Give them a warm welcome when you see them in our hallways.

Badminton playoffs are this week at St Michaels. Check with Mr. M to see if you are in the finals.

Recycling: Only tetra juice boxes go in the tetra recycle bins. Har plastice goes in hard plastic bins. There is a pattern to the recycle stations.
Cell Phones: We do not want to see cell phones in the hallways or out at recess and lunch.
