Band:

Band registration is open now, see Mr. Bridgman for more details. Registration forms are due May 1.

Band Sectionals: All grade 6 percussionists have sectional today during advisory in the band room.

Jazz Band: There will be a jazz band rehearsal on Thursday, Apr. 26 during advisory in the band room.


Boys Group: A reminder that Boys' Group meet today at the Beginning of Advisory in the Blue Conference Room.



Craft Club: Today at 1:15 in the Art Room. See Ms. Ozi for details.


Dance Club:
Congratulations to Royal Oak Dance Club members who performed very well at the Saanich School Dance Showcase at Claremont yesterday. A big thank-you to the grade 8 dance leadership students  Danielle, Peyton, Makenna and Georgina for all their hard work this year. All dancers please meet next Thursday at 116.


Lego Club is canceled for today.


Paper Recycling Today:

Just a reminder that it is paper recycling day today. Please make sure that you send a student down with your recycling to the bins at the beginning of Advisory.

ROMS TV News:
ROMS TV - next week we'll be starting a new rotation of anchors and tech on ROMS TV. This is a first reminder to Liam T., M-3, Cohen W., M-8 and Victor T., 7-3 that you're on deck for next Monday! 


Canteen Thursday: The Canteen will be closed for sales today.


ROMS SPORTS:

Badminton: The tournament team for next week city playoff tournament will be announced tomorrow.


Rugby: Congratulations to the girls and 6/7 boys rugby teams on their games last night! Both teams did a great job representing Royal Oak.


Track and Field: Track and Field season is up an running. Next week's practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:15am. Sign up will happen at practice for the events happening on May 10th. Please go to lowerislandschoolsports.ca for season details.

Travino Lane: Please avoid going through the Travino Lane development when dropping your son/daughter off at school. This is a private road.

Art Room Request for Magazines: ROMS families.......Please consider donating your used magazines to the art room. We are in NEED for sports, food, fashion, travel, lifestyle, surf, boating, clothing/shoes....currently we are low in all categories. Just drop them off to the art room! Today is Thursday, April 26, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  Our weather calls for cloudy skies, with some sunshine and a high of 11 degrees.  

Grade 8 Students:  Reminder to get your Claremont course selection verification    back to the office if there is mistakes or a changes.

It is the PAC staff lunch today.  We are asking all students to move outside during the lunch activity time so that the staff can enjoy their lunch put on by the parents.

Badminton is well underway at RO!  If you are not involved, you are missing out on a great sport!

 

There is no playing soccer in the front area of the school.
