Band Sectionals: All grade 6 saxophonists have sectionals during advisory in the band room on Apr. 17 


Band Registration: Band registration forms for next year are due on May 1, any students interested in joining band next year please see Mr. Bridgman for more information.


Chess Club:
Wednesday lunch hour chess has come to an end but if you are looking for a board and a place to play, please check in with Mr Azim.


Conversation and Activities Club: Please join us for Conversations Club today in Room 227. Meet new friends, learn about other cultures, and practice your English. All students are welcome. Please see Ms. Beristain in room 219 for more information.


Dance Club:
A reminder to dance club members of our practice today at 116 and on Thursday this week.


Eagles Club:
All Eagles Club members are invited to attend a meeting on Wed. during block 2 in Rm 215. We will begin planning for the Elders Tea.

Science Challengers:
Please return your field trip consent forms to Mr Azim as soon as possible.  Our next study meeting is on Wednesday at lunch recess.


Popcorn: On sale at morning recess at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.

ROMS SPORTS:

Athletic Leadership:
Athletic Leadership members are reminded of their responsibilities this week.

Badminton:
This week's badminton practice schedule is now updated and posted on the ROMS Athletics web page. Please have a look to see when your grade is practicing and for open practices as well. As Friday is a Pro-D day, the grade 8 practice will be Wednesday morning at 8:00. Players entering the qualifying tournament must come to the gym today to sign up and attend their grade-specific practices to play official matches. Grade 6's are scheduled to practice today at SECOND recess and any grade 6 who wants to play in the qualifying tournament must attend.

Grade 6/7 Intra murals:
Grade 6/7 intra murals this term will be badminton. Mr. Menzies will visit classes to notify them if they are playing tomorrow for the first day of spring intra murals.

Field hockey: All field hockey players are reminded of their practice after school on Tuesday.  3:15-4:15 in the gym.  Bring an extra sock for your stick.

Rugby:
Attention all rugby players! Please go to lowerislandschoolsports.ca to familiarize yourself with games schedules and where you are playing later this week. Practicing after school today are: the grade 6/7 boys rugby team, and the girls rugby team. Please remember to bring your cleats and mouth guard. Girls who are still interested in joining the team are welcome and encouraged to talk to Mr. Menzies today.

Art Room Request for Magazines: ROMS families.......Please consider donating your used magazines to the art room. We are in NEED for sports, food, fashion, travel, lifestyle, surf, boating, clothing/shoes....currently we are low in all categories. Just drop them off to the art room! Non Instructional Day: The school will be closed on Friday, April 20th for a Non Instructional Day.

Grade 8 Farewell: The *Grade 8 farewell Meeting *will take place in the learning commons room from *6 pm - 7 pm on April 19th*,  prior to the General PAC meeting.
