ROMS TV Script, February 21th

Here is your afternoon ROMS TV News report

S1: Hello! I’m ____________________

Today is Wednesday, February 21, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for  sunny skies with a cool temperature of 3 degrees.

Seven days left in the month of February.  This week we have cold temperatures.  There is actually the possibility of snow today!  Yikes!

Did You know?

  • The heart of a shrimp is located in its head. ...

  • A snail can sleep for three years. ...

  • Slugs have four noses. ...

  • Elephants are the only animal that can't jump.

Recycling:

Five plastic bottles (PET) recycled provides enough fiber to create one square feet of carpet or enough fiber fill to fill one ski jacket.

Americans throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.

Recycling one ton of plastic bottles saves the equivalent energy usage of a two person household for one year.

Drama Club:  Reminder of your practice today  during advisory time

Rafiki Bracelets:  See Ms. Cottier if you are interested in buying a rafiki bracelet.

Ask your teacher:   What is going on this Friday?   Rumor has it there is no school!!

Lost and Found:    All lost and found items will be taken away at the end of this week to be given to charity.

Cell Phones:  We should not be seeing cell phones in the hallways during recess and lunch!  This rule has been clearly communicated.

Grade 8 Students:  Claremont  Grade 9 students will be at Royal Oak tomorrow to  give you practical information about Claremont to our gr 8 students.    Also, be sure to return your course selection form to your homeroom teacher ASAP.

This concludes our ROMS TV Newscast for today.  If it happens, it happens on ROMS TV

We will see you tomorrow with a News update on ROMS News!
