ROMS TV Script, February 20th

Here is your afternoon ROMS TV News report

S1: Hello! I’m ____________________

Today is Tuesday, February 20, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for  sunny skies with a cool temperature of 3 degrees.

Eight days left in the month of February.  This week we have cold temperatures.  Be sure to put on the warm coat as you go outside.

Did You know?

  1. Most Japanese schools don’t have janitors. Instead children do the cleaning daily as part of a practice rooted in Buddhist traditions that associate cleaning with morality

  2. Dave Thomas (Wendy’s) went back to high school in 1993 to get his GED because he was worried that his success as a high school dropout might convince other teenagers to quit school

Five plastic bottles (PET) recycled provides enough fiber to create one square feet of carpet or enough fiber fill to fill one ski jacket.

Americans throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.

Recycling one ton of plastic bottles saves the equivalent energy usage of a two person household for one year.

Drama Club:  Reminder of your practice today and tomorrow during advisory time

Rafiki Bracelets:  See Ms. Cottier if you are interested in buying a rafiki bracelet.

Ask your teacher:  What how many days of school this week?

Lost and Found:    All lost and found items will be taken away at the end of this week to be given to charity.  Be sure to check the found items out!

Grade 8 Students:  Claremont  Grade 9 students will be at Royal Oak on Thursday to  give you practical information about Claremont.    Be sure to return your course selection form to your homeroom teacher ASAP.

This concludes our ROMS TV Newscast for today.  If it happens, it happens on ROMS TV

We will see you tomorrow with a News update on ROMS News!
