Band: A reminder to band students that final payment for the Whistler band trip is due in to Mr. Bridgman asap.  

Jazz Band rehearsal today at 1:15 in the band room.

Drama Club:
There will be a drama club rehearsal today in block 3 and possibly lunch time for students in Scenes 5, 6 and the epilogue. Meet in the drama room. See Ms Noel or Ms Buxcey if you have any questions. 

Grade 8 Farewell: The Grade 8 Bake Sale will be held Wednesday *Feb 14th Valentines day
during Lunch recess*. Bring a loonie or toonie and help support the Grade 8 farewell

Girls Group:
Today, girls in rotation 2 will be celebrating TACO TUESDAY! Please meet in Room 215 at the bell for advisory so we can start cooking right away. See you there!

Judo Club: There will be no Judo Club today.

Lost & Found: The lost & found is bursting at the seams once again! Please check the lost & found for items that you may have lost.

Math Challengers:
The final Math Challengers Prep session is tomorrow at 1:15 in Miss Cottier's room.  Please bring your permission forms and practice booklets with you.

Rafiki Bracelets are back! Special edition Valentine's Day and Pi Day Bracelets will be on sale for $10 each at Lunch until they are sold out!  All proceeds go towards are Ethiopia village initiative.

Canteen tomorrow: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,



This week's practice schedule for all teams has been posted on the Royal Oak Athletics web page, and game schedules and league rules can be found at lowerislandschoolsports.ca. Please have a look to see when your team is practicing and playing this week. Players are reminded to confirm transportation arrangements to away game in advance and be able to tell their coach who is driving them to the game and home.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all grade 6 girls playing away games later today at FIRST recess. Please come to the gym after block 2 to confirm transportation arrangements to the game later today. All girls on these teams must attend.

Practicing today are:

The grade 8 boys team after school form 3:15 – 4:30.

Ms. Espedido would like her volleyball team to meet in her room during 1st recess, Please. 

Grade 6/7 Intra Murals: After 3 hard fought games of dungeon ball the past three weeks, the green floor is clinging to a 2 games to 1 lead in the grade 6/7 intramural dungeon ball series. Mr. Menzies will be visiting divisions during advisory to inform them of their participation in toady's match. 

Grade 8 Intra Murals:
Reminder to grade 8 divisions to check the intra-mural dodge ball schedule on the PE board.

Grade 8 Rugby:
Notice to all grade 8 boys interested in rugby - there will be an meeting in Mr. Stanchfield's room Thursday during morning recess. 



Bus Registration: As of February 1st the School District 63 transportation department will no longer be accepting bus registrations for the 2017-18 school year. Please contact the Transportation Department at 250-652-7343 if you have any questions.

Grade 8 Farewell Parent Meeting:
Feb 15th from 6-7pm is the second Grade 8 farewell organization meeting in
the learning commons room. This is for any grade 8 parent who would like
information regarding the year end celebration. All grade 8 parents welcome.

PAC Meeting: Please join us at the next PAC General Meeting on Thursday, February 15 as Claremont School Counselors will be there to provide information on the Grade 8 transition process, course selection and programs available at Claremont. Come, ask your questions and stay informed.
