A reminder to students that Monday is a Non Instructional Day. No school Monday!!

Chill Zone will be meeting every Friday during outdoor activity in room 225. Please see Mrs. Campbell if interested.

Lost & Found: A reminder to students to check the lost and found for items you have lost.

Math Challengers: The next math challengers practice session is next Thursday at 1:15 in Miss Cottier's room.  Please bring your booklet, a calculator, and a pencil.  New members welcome.

Student Council: Next week's student council meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan 30 at 1:16 in the Art Room.

The meeting is important for Open House Planning.

Fund raiser: We will be kicking off the Alzheimer's fund raiser next week. All proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Our goal is to raise $1,500. On Friday Feb 2nd we will encourage everyone to wear blue and yellow, which are the colors of the forget-me-not flower which represents Alzheimer's.

Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order: Orca Hallway, Raven, Thunderbird & then Wolf hallway. Helpers: Division M-3 Ms. Cottier


Athletic Leadership:
Reminder to members of athletic leadership that today's meeting during advisory is canceled as we met yesterday.


Next week's practice schedule for all teams will be posted on the Royal Oak Athletics web page later today, and game schedules and league rules can be found at lowerislandschoolsports.ca. Please have a look to see when your team is practicing and playing this week. Players are reminded to confirm transportation arrangements to away game in advance and be able to tell their coach who is driving them to the game and home.

Practicing later today are:

The grade 8 girls recreational team (Chris Yue's team) at SECOND recess.

Practicing after school today is Ms. Espedido's grade 7 girls team, and Jim Smith's grade 6 girls competitive teams.

Grade 8 Farewell Bake Sale on February 14th

We are asking for grade 8 families to provide items to sell at a bake sale

cookies, cupcakes, or even chocolate strawberries!

*Please bring your items to the school on February 14th*

* Please drop off items into the kitchen labeled for the sale. *

* All proceeds are for the final farewell party.

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards:

All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help
with PAC Fund raising.  If your family is not intending to use it, please
return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school
office.  In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would
