ROMS TV Script, January 25

Here is your afternoon ROMS TV News

S1: Hello! I’m ____________________

Today is Thursday, January 25, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for clouds, some rain showers and a high 6 degrees.  Where is the warm weather?

There are now 7 days until we are halfway through the school year.    Blink our eyes and it will be June!  Now that is a scary thought!

Did You know?

Chewing gum while cutting onions

Prevents you from bawling your eyes out while you make pasta

Fire has no shadow   - But it makes shadows…

The Tostitos logo is actually two people sharing chips and salsa

Intra murals:     Intra murals are going strong!   The more that sign up the better!  Make sure you and your class gets involved!

Open House:  Royal Oak is hosting our open house on February the 1st.  Be sure your classroom is clean and tidy for Feb 1st!

Monday is a Pro D day.  There will not be school in session!  Enjoy your sleep in and this is a chance to get the homework project done! Teachers will be attending a training session out at North Saanich Middle school

Grade 8’s:   Green floor,  your field trip to Claremont to participate in the Trades  sessions is today.   The bus leaves at 9:15 sharp!  Make sure you are there on time.

Recycling:    Today is the day we do the blue bin paper recycling  at the end of block 3.    It is the class responsibility to make this happen!

Ask your teacher:  What causes an earthquake and a tsunami?

New Sports:

The first Olympics, which got started in ancient Greece, only allowed men to take part. These days, men and women from across the planet compete for Olympic gold. Athletic records have been set, heroes have been made, rivalries formed. Nations have gone at it every four years in both team and individual events for more than a century now.

This concludes our ROMS TV Newscast for today.  If it happens, it happens on ROMS TV

We will see you Monday on ROMS News!
