ROMS TV - a reminder to Liam T., M-3, Danyn F., M-1 and Cohen W., M-8 - please come up to the Learning Commons in block 2 at 11 a.m. to record today's edition. 

Conversation and Activities Club: Please join us for Conversations Club today in Room 227. Meet new friends, learn about other cultures, and practice your English. All students are welcome. Please see Ms. Beristain in room 219 for more information.

Popcorn: On sale at morning recess at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.


Grade 6/7 Intra Murals:
Grade 6/7 Intra murals will be starting this week. Stay tuned for further details.

Grade 8 Intra Murals: Reminder to grade 8 divisions to check the intra-mural dodge ball schedule for Wednesday's games on the PE bulletin board


This week's practice schedule has now been posted on the ROMS Athletics web page. Please have a look to see when your team is practicing this week. 

Practicing today at SECOND recess are:

Mr. Sparanese's grade 7 girls recreational team, and Mrs. Gill's and Mrs. Blaikie's grade 6 girls team.

All competitive players are reminded to return your permission forms to Mr. Menzies ASAP if you would like to play, as games start this week. 

Ms. Espedido's Competitive girls team is to meet in room 220 during First recess today.

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards:

All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help
with PAC Fund raising.  If your family is not intending to use it, please
return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school
office.  In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would

Today is Monday, January 22, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for clouds, some sunshine and a high 8 degrees.  Bring on Spring!    

There are now 10 days until we are halfway through the school year.   For those in grade 8, you will soon be looking at grade 9!


Did You know?

Intra murals:     Keep supporting your class dodge ball team and be sure to join or come out to watch every week!  

Open House:  Royal Oak is host an open house on February the 1st.  If you have a sibling coming into grade 6 next year, this is a chance for them to tour the school along with your parents.

Grade 8’s:  This Wednesday and Thursday is your field trip to Claremont to participate in the Trades information sessions. All field trip notices should be in.  

Recycling:   Reminder to classes that Thursday, today, is the day we do the blue bin paper recycling right at the end of block 3.     It is the class responsibility to make this happen.
