ROMS TV Script, January 18

Here is your afternoon ROMS TV News

S1: Hello! I’m ____________________

Today is Thursday, January 18, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for clouds, some sunshine,  some rain showers and a high 9 degrees.  No more rain!

There are now 13 days until we are halfway through the school year.    The year is ticking on!

 Did You know?

At any given time, there are 1,800 thunderstorms in progress over the earth's atmosphere.

Erosion at the base of Niagara Falls has caused the falls to recede approximately seven miles over the past 10,000 years.

A ten-year-old mattress weighs almost double what it did when it was new due to debris that it absorbs over time. That debris includes dust mites, mold, millions of dead skin cells, dandruff, animal and human hair,, lint, pollen, dust, sand, and a lot of perspiration, which the average person loses at a rate of a quart a day.  Oh dear!

Intramurals:   Gym lunch dodgeball has been a huge success.  Keep supporting your class team and be sure to come out to watch every week!  Big thank you to Mr Stanchfield, Mr Sparanese and Menzies for making the intramurals happen.

Recycling:   Reminder to classes that Thursday, today, is the day we do the blue bin paper recycling right at the end of block 3.    No announcement will be mande.  It is the class responsibility to make this happen.

Ask your teacher:  What city and country is the winter olympics going to occur this year?  Ask your teacher

Sports Question:   There was another NHL game yesterday between Boston and Montreal.  Who won?  Ask Ms. Fuller for the answer!

Pizza Day: Reminder tomorrow is our regular Pizza day!  Remember your money!

This concludes our ROMS TV Newscast for today.  If it happens, it happens on ROMS TV

We will see you tomorrow on ROMS News!
