Playground Structure:
Today will the Grade 8's student chance to be on the new play structure.  Due to the demand, we have to take turns until the novelty wears off.  Tomorrow will be the grade 7's turn as they missed out yesterday due to the snow day.

Extreme Team:
Extreme Team will be meeting at lunch recess in the Blue Conference Room

Learning Commons Crew:
From the learning commons - as Ms. Gaudet is away today, we are going to reschedule our staff meeting for when we come back in January. Thanks to everyone who signed Ms. Gaudet's get well card - she was delighted and touched!

ROMS TV News Crew:
ROMS TV - would the team for the first two weeks of January - Samara D., Natasha C. and Macy H. - please come to the learning commons at 11 this morning, even if you have done the news before, to touch base with Ms. Lindsay. We'll see James, 6-3 and Liam, M-2, too. Thanks.

Recycling Stations: A reminder that all recycling stations will be shut down on today after advisory. Please make sure your station is emptied and cleaned out as we don't want fruit flies or mold growing in them!!!

Lockers: A reminder that all lockers must be cleaned out this week and checked by homeroom teachers.

Paper Recycling:
The large paper recycling bin is open all this week.  Please send your blue bin out to be emptied when it is full.  All lockers need to be cleaned and checked prior to the holiday break! 

Youth In Action:
Youth in Action Meeting this Thursday at 11:23am in Miss Cottier's room.

Popcorn: On sale at morning recess at the canteen. $1.50 per bag.

Canteen Thursday: The Canteen will be closed tomorrow.

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards:

All grade 6 students have been given a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to help
with PAC Fund raising.  If your family is not intending to use it, please
return it to the school by dropping it into the PAC box outside the school
office.  In that way, we can re-assign it to someone else. If you would

Today is Wednesday, December 20, and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for sunny skies with a high 4 degrees.   Despite the fact we had snow yesterday, it is pretty nice weather for December

There are now 05 days until the  guy in red with large items comes.    Be sure you make your bed every morning as he is checking the list twice.  


Did you know:

  • when lightning strikes it can reach up to 30,000 degrees celsius (54,000 degrees fahrenheit)

  • spiders are arachnids and not insects


Playground:   The new play structure will  be open today at recess and lunch.  Due to the demand, we will have grade 8’s only on the structure today.  We will have gr 7’s use the structure tomorrow as yesterday     

Holiday Clean up!  Let’s start hauling home those personal items that are lurking in your locker.   All lockers need to be clean and inspected for the holiday season.  We do not want any fruit flies or mold growing in our lockers over the holidays.

Pizza day: 2 days to our last Friday Pizza day for 2017

Sock Bombs:  Remember to keep building your class sock bombs!  The more the merrier.  They are due today.

Bus passes:     Always have your bus card out and ready to scan as you load the bus.

Recycling:  Paper coffee cups go in paper recycling.  They are not to go in the milk recycling bins!   Be sure to keep your paper bin emptied this week.  The big recycling bin will be open all week to allow classes to clean out your rooms!  

Field Trips:  If you are going on a field trip this week, make sure you have all the required expectations met.   No forgetting your forms and fees!  

Music in the Hallway:  This week, you will hear our band students playing Holiday music in the hallways!   Happy holidays!
