Google Docs Training

5:45-6:45 pm in the Learning Commons
We will be hosting a Google Docs training session for parents and guardians prior to the PAC meeting on Thursday, November 16th from 5:45-6:45 pm in the Learning Commons. Google educators will share their knowledge and help us learn the technology and terminology that is being used in the classrooms. This is a hands on workshop, bring your own device or use a computer from the Learning Commons. Come learn with us!
Our general PAC meeting will begin at 7:00 pm - We have a special guest speaker attending – Jennifer Gibson from Island Sexual Health will be attending the PAC meeting from 7:00-8:00 pm. Jennifer is a renowned sexual health educator who is known for supporting parents as students change and grow.
Join us for one or both informative sessions – this is an excellent opportunity to learn!

Today is Wednesday, November 15 and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS. The weather calls for more of those clouds and with a high of 9 degrees. Keep hoping for that sun to shine RO!
Did you know that there are more lakes in Canada than the rest of the world combined? Hard to believe but true!
Grade 8’s, you still have one more chance to order a grade 8 hoodie! The last order will go in on Nov 17. Do not be caught without your Gr 8 hoodie!
The Amazing Reading Race Contest is still on in the Learning Commons. Get involved if are not already! Check with Ms.. Lindsay in the LC.
LC. reminder that the LC is a busy place before school and at lunch. The maximum numbers we can have in the LC is about 60 students. Once it is full, a sign will go on the door which means it is full. You will have to come back the next day.
Chrome book carts are now in the hallways. Each hall has two carts with 25 chromebook carts in each cart. Please make sure your class has the cart booked before you take it.
Intramurals are every Tuesday and Wednesday in the gym. If you and your class is not involved, listen for announcements for details on how you can get involved.
Gym strip: Always remember to have your gym strip at school and be sure to have it washed on a regular basis. Reminder that students are to go in the change room, get changed and get out as fast as you can.
Recycling: Please continue to bring your tower down to the recycle station pre sported. The Green Floor has really improved thanks to the efforts of Div 7-4 helping.
Lost and Found: Missing items? Your items are not stolen rather they are sitting in the L & F waiting for you! Please come by and pick up what you have lost.
