ROMS TV Script, Wednesday,November 8

Here is your afternoon ROMS TV News

S1: Hello! I’m ____________________

S2: And I’m _____________________

Today is Wednesday, November 8 and here’s the news about what’s happening at ROMS.  The weather calls for cloud and rain showers tomorrow with a high of 9 degrees.

Did you know Australia has over 10,000 beaches.  You could visit a different beach every day which would take you 27 years to complete.

The Youth in Action "We Scare Hunger" Campaign is almost done.  You can still add to the collection of food items. We have collected over 800 food items.

The Amazing Reading Race Contest is still on in the Learning Commons.   In this contest, students do their normal silent reading, and keep track of the reading you have done. Keep reading Royal Oak!

Friday at 11 am  will be our Remembrance Day Assembly.    We are asking all students to make a donation to the poppy fund.  This a solemn assembly where everyone is extremely respectful. During this student run assembly, we will be asking all students and staff to join in the singing of O Canada.

Recycling:  When bringing your tower down to the recycle station, please make sure all items are sorted before they leave the classroom.  We do not want to see items not sorted correctly end up in our landfill.

Reminder all students to please make sure you are recycling and making use of the garbage containers. We do not want to see litter on the school grounds.

Remember to dress for the colder temperatures.  Students will still be expected to go outside during cold days so remember to bundle up!

Lost and Found is growing rapidly.  Be sure to look for you missing gym strip items.

Tomorrow, Royal Oak will have our new School Superintendent visit our school.  He will be here at 9 am and wander through the school for about 1 hour.  Let’s make all make our school shine with all the great learning we are doing!

This concludes our ROMS TV Newscast for today.  If it happens, it happens on ROMS TV
