Halloween is today, just a reminder that you can wear a costume but it must be appropriate and functional school business. Costume are not to condone violence and masks are not allowed. We need to be able to identify every student at all times. Please keep this a positive and fun event.
Don’t forget the costume parade in the gym at lunch activity time.
Staff Pie Eating Contest:
The world famous staff Halloween pie eating contest is today. Mr. Goy is the current reigning champion and claims he will not be defeated!! Come out today at lunch activity time to see who will be this year’s champion.
Learning Commons: Ms. Gaudet is away today, and with all the fun activities happening in the gym at lunchtime (after advisory), the Learning Commons will be CLOSED at that time, just for today.
There is a grade 6 saxophone sectionals practice today during advisory, please bring your lunch!
France 2018 Trip: For those students travelling to France this year, our regular meeting is canceled today.
Girls Group: Girls in Rotation 1 will meet at the blue conference room during advisory today. We’ll have some treats & snacks and lots of fun activities including a costume contest.The prize will go to the most creative outfit. See you there!!
We scare hunger: We Scare Hunger has started. Youth in Action is challenging Royal Oak Students to each bring in 2 non-perishable food items to meet our goal of 1000. There will be a prize for the hallway that brings in the most items!
Youth In Action:
There will be a Youth In Action meeting on Thursday at 11:23 in Miss Cottier’s room 222.
Canteen Tuesday: On sale at recess today is mummies hot dogs, cupcakes, cookies and ice tea.
The grade 6/7 intramural tournament has been postponed this week due to the many halloween activities, and will now take place Thursday, November 2nd.
Grade 8 intra murals: Notice to divisions 8-2, 8-4 and 8-8 of their indoor soccer games tomorrow at lunch.
The PAC is kicking off their next fundraiser tomorrow, Nov 1 the Purdy’s chocolate fundraiser begins. Look for the brochure coming home this week!
