Apples for Maya Fund raiser – Caramel apples will be on sale on today during both morning recess and at lunch activity time. $3 for a caramel apple, and $4 for a decorated caramel apple!
Halloween Spooktacular: Only two days left to buy your ticket!!! Tickets are $10 each – Only 50 tickets left - they will be on sale outside the office during lunch activity time today and tomorrow only!!
Canteen Thursday: There will be no regular canteen sales today. Please consider buying a caramel apple for Maya instead!!
Pizza Day tomorrow: $2.50 per slice.
Gr 7/8 Girls Rec:
Attention all grade 7/8 girls interested Recreational Basketball; there will be an important meeting today at first recess in the gym. We will create our team list and go over a few details about the season. Don't forget to bring a friend!
Congratulations to the grade 7/8 girls competitive basketball teams on their success last night. The girls put forth strong performances and are looking good early in the season! Great job Eagles!
Reminder to the grade 6/7 boys competitive team of your practice today at SECOND recess. Please be there on time and ready to play in your PE strip by 1:20.
The grade 6/7 girls recreational basketball team is still looking for players. All girls are welcome and encouraged to join. Please see Mr. Menzies if you are interested.

There will be a very important meeting for all boys on Mr. Menzies' 6/7 rec basketball team at FIRST recess today. Please come to the gym right after block 2 and help remind your teammates to attend. See you there!
The grade 8 boys basketball team won their second consecutive game and their first home game of the year defeating Gordon Head by a score of 40-35. Next practice is Friday morning at 8:00am
There are a few Cross Country Athletes who need to see Ms. Wheatley today. Would Ben, Maddie, Cristian, Liam, Tobyn, and Josh please see Ms. Wheatley in her classroom at some point today.

Halloween Spooktacular: (Ghost/Halloween noises) . . . . . . . Come join us for a SPOOKTACULAR time at Claremont Secondary School on Friday October 27th. Royal Oak students have special time to attend from 5 - 6:30pm. Tickets are $10 each and will be sold outside the office during lunch activity time every day this week. One of Royal Oak Middle School's precious treasures, Maya and her family need our help. Maya suffers from a rare genetic disorder called MPS. She is currently in Children's hospital in Vancouver recovering from open heart surgery and is waiting to have surgery on both hips. Thrifty Smile Cards:
have been accepted by Thrifty Foods to take part in their Smile
Program to earn up to $2500 this school year! Thrifty Foods will give 5%
of what you spend on groceries to our school! As in the last few years,
the PAC will be sending out a Thrifty Foods Smile Card to each grade 6
family. The card is easy and free to use - you pre-load it with an amount
of your choice and use it like a cash card. If you don't want to use your
