Riddle:

Answer:

1) Today's weather:   Mainly rainy today! Currently it’s 12 degrees out there and a little rainy.  This afternoon, 14 degrees with a with a slightly higher chance of more rain, a 90% chance in-fact.

2)  We had a great time last Thursday hosting our 2nd Elders Tea in the Learning Commons.  Thank you to everyone who attended, and to all those that were involved with making this special event happen.  We look forward to hosting our third Elders Tea next year!

2)   There are a lot of school events starting up.  Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved in your school.

3)  Keep up your recycling.  Recycling reduces the amount of garbage we send to our landfill.

4)  Pizza day and chocolate milk is this Friday.   You have to love pizza!!

5)  Just a quick reminder to return your books to the Learning Commons and help your class win the book return competition!  If you are not sure whether or not you have a book signed out, please visit Mr. Ball or Ms. Rayner to find out.  Your teacher will also be getting a list of all books out.

6)  End of the Year Library Book Return:  Want an Icecream Sundae?(Announcers: Eat your sundae NOW) 4 more school days until all library books are due for the year.  You are expected to have all your books back by Friday June 16th.  The 1st, 2nd and 3rd class to bring back all of their books - including teachers - win ice-cream sundaes!  Start looking for those books now and speak with Mr. Ball or Mrs. Rayner if you are unable to locate your books.  The earlier you start looking the easier it will be for your class to win.  Please don’t wait until the 16th to start looking for your books, they should all be back BY Friday.

If you’re wondering why your books are due back so early, well, it has to do with the 15 thousand books we have in the Learning Commons.  Mr. Ball and Ms. Rayner need to make sure that every book is accounted for and this takes a lot of time.  We can help them by making sure we take the time to look for and return our books as soon as possible.  Let’s see if we can be the only school in the district to have all books/resources returned this year!!!

That concludes our TV news cast! Please join us tomorrow for further breaking  news stories here on 751 News!

Thanks for making ROMS TV your #1  station! If it is happening, it is happening here on 751 TV

ROMS PARENT REVIEW:

With the 2017/2018 ROMS Athletics year just months away, we will be needing community members and parents to help with the supervision, coaching, and transportation for our many teams. School District 63 requires that adults who can assist is any of these ways have an up to date Criminal Record Check on file with our school. Parents are encouraged to get this done now, and avoid the busy start of the year in September when it can take over a month for this to be processed. Our Royal Oak students and staff really appreciate the help with our school teams and are a big part of the success of our Athletics program. Please contact Mr. Menzies or the school office for details.

Field trips: A reminder to parents that the school is busy with field trips at this time of year. If your child has an Epi Pen – please make sure that you send it with your child on the field trip.
