Mountain Bike Club; A reminder that the Mountain Bike Club rides tomorrow after school, don't forget to bring your bike to school.
Canteen tomorrow: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,
Track & Field:
The fourth and final track meet is tomorrow, Wednesday May 31st, after school up at UVIC for students participating in all relays, triple jump, and the 200m final. Results from track meets number 1-3 have now been posted on lowerislandschoolsports.ca. Please review to see if you qualified for the City Finals and let Mr. Menzies know ASAP if you notice any errors. The City Finals for qualifying students is all day on June 7th up at UVIC. There will be a very important meeting regarding the City Finals later this week, so stay tuned for a time and location for this meeting.

On behalf of the Saanich Peninsula's Local Action Team for Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Martin Brokenleg to the Saanich community. Based on traditional Indigenous practices, Dr. Brokenleg demonstrates how to raise happy, secure, capable, and giving individuals. This free workshop is designed for educators, support staff, parents, and community to live with purpose and to model these teachings, which reflect the BC Ministry of Education's Core Competencies. Field trips: A reminder to parents that the school is busy with field trips at this time of year. If your child has an Epi Pen – please make sure that you send it with your child on the field trip.
Silent Auction at the Beach House: To Lochside Alumni and all other parents, teachers and staff. You are invited to attend a special evening that is being put on by the Lochside Parent Council. It is being held Friday June 2nd at the Beach House restaurant on Cordova Bay Road. Tickets are $30 each and include a night of appetizers, cash bar, dancing and a silent auction. All the proceeds of the night will go to help purchase an electronic sign for the school.
