Did you know that lobsters blood is colorless but when exposed to oxygen it turns blue? Lobsters have blue blood due to the presence of hemocyanin (“-hemo” of blood + "-cyan" + "-in") which contains copper. In contrast, vertebrates and many other animals have red blood from iron-rich hemoglobin.
Did you also know if you add up all the numbers from 1 to 100 consecutively (1 + 2 + 3...) it totals 5050?
Answer: hazardous, horrendous, stupendous and tremendous
Riddle: What weighs more – a kilogram of iron or a kilogram of feathers?

1) Today's weather: Mainly sunny all day today. It’s currently 12 degrees out there with a 10% chance of rain. This afternoon it’s expected to reach 19 degrees with a 10% chance of rain.

3) There are a lot of school events starting up. Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved in your school.
4) Keep up your recycling. Recycling reduces the amount of garbage we send to our landfill.
