ROMS TV NEWS

ROMS TV Announcements

Good afternoon Royal Oak!  Here are the News stories you have been waiting for.  Today is Monday, April 24th, 2017 and here is what is happening at 751 Travino Lane

Do you know  Your left lung is smaller than your right lunt to make room for your heart?

Did you also know: Canada is home to approximately 55 000 different species of insects?

1) Today's weather:  We have a 20% chance of rain -  currently it is 8  degrees outside the news studio.  The afternoon looks a little warmer at 14 degrees and a 20 % chance of rain.

2)  Today  is our 2nd day of Creatures of Habitat community project.  Numerous classes will be engaged in cleaning up the Mahon creek area on the south side of the school grounds, releasing salmon into Colquitz creek as well as learning numerous facts about our environment.  A big thank you to Ms. Robson for organizing this amazing event.

3) Health Facts:

There are 2.5 trillion (give or take) of red blood cells in your body at any moment. To maintain this number, about two and a half million new ones need to be produced every second by your bone marrow. That's like a new population of the city of Toronto every second.

4)   There are a lot of school events starting up.  Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved in your school.

5)  Keep up your recycling.  Recycling reduces the amount of garbage we send to our landfill.

6)  Pizza day and chocolate milk is this Friday.   You have to love pizza!!

7) And for today’s joke of the day:

Q: Why aren’t koalas actual bears?

A: The don’t meet the koalafications.

That concludes our TV news cast! Please join us tomorrow for further breaking news stories here on 751 News!

Thanks for making ROMS TV your #1  station! If it is happening, it is happening here on 751 TV
