Do you know  an octopus pupil is rectangular

Did you also  there are only 4 words in the English language which end in 'dous' (they are: hazardous, horrendous, stupendous and tremendous)

1) Today's weather:  We have a 35% chance of rain -  currently it is 8  degrees outside the news studio.  The afternoon looks a little warmer at 14 degrees and a 25 % chance of rain.

2)  Today  is our 2nd day of Creatures of Habitat community project.  Numerous classes will be engaged in cleaning up the Mahon creek area on the south side of the school grounds, releasing salmon into Colquitz creek as well as learning numerous facts about our environment.  A big thank you to Ms. Robson for organizing this amazing event.

3) Health Facts:

The human body contains 30 000 billion red blood cells. The human body is estimated to have 60,000 miles of blood vessels. The human body makes 2.5 million Red Blood Cells every second or about 200 billion Red Blood Cells every day. The human heart beats 30 million times a year.

4)   There are a lot of school events starting up.  Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved in your school.

5)  Keep up your recycling.  Recycling reduces the amount of garbage we send to our landfill.

6)  Pizza day and chocolate milk is this Friday.   You have to love pizza!!

7) And for today’s joke of the day:

Q  What do you call cheese that’s not yours?
