Creatures of Habitat: Just a reminder that it is Creatures of Habitat day for divisions 6-2, 7-2, M3, M4, M5 & M6.
Grade 7 Band: Please bring your lunch, music, instrument and uniform to the Band room at 12:30 today!
Science Challengers: We meet today at lunch recess in Mr Azim's room. Please bring along your consent forms.
Drawing Club: Today in Ms. Noel's Room during activity time, please bring pencil crayons, skinny felts, pencil,a ruler and glue.
Ms Johnson's and Mr Lloyd's home economics classrooms need buttons. If you have old or new buttons your family can donate, we will gladly accept them. Please bring them directly to the home economics room. Thank you!
Lemon Pellegrinos will be available on Friday at 11:23 in the Canteen. Come get one of these ice cold delicious treats!
We Create Change: Starting on Thursday, April 20th the Royal Oak Youth in Action group is challenging each homeroom class to fill one large Starbucks cup full of change- any denomination is appreciated! One full Starbucks cup of change is enough to provide education to SIX children in Ecuador! Youth in Action students will deliver your cups shortly.
There is an important Youth in Action meeting on Thursday at 1:16 in Miss Cottier's room. We will be organized all the details for our "We Create Change" campaign that starts on April 20th. Please bring any fine tip sharpies that you have.
Bottle Drive: Student Leadership bottle drive runs until Friday April 21st. Proceeds go to help sponsor our international foster child. Please drop off your bottles at the front of the school. Thank you for supporting this great cause.
Canteen today: Popcorn on sale at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,
Canteen Thursday: On sale at recess tomorrow -chocolate chip cookies, smoothies, and burritos.
Players are reminded of their very important meeting TODAY at SECOND RECESS in ROOM 124 to organize rides to our games tomorrow at UVic. Bring your forms please!

1) Today's weather: We have a 30% chance of rain - that’s approximately 1 mm of water - at 9 degrees this morning. The afternoon looks a little warmer at 12 degrees and a 40 % chance of rain.
2) Today and tomorrow is our Creatures of Habitat community project. Numerous classes will be engaged in cleaning up the creek area on the south side of the school grounds as well as learning numerous facts about our environment.
3) Health Facts:
-Laughing 100 times is equivalent to 15 minutes of exercise on a stationary bike.
-There are at least six universal facial expressions: happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, anger and surprise.
4) There are a lot of school team sports and clubs starting up. Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved.
5) Recycling stations still need careful sorting. If the bin is full, please push the items down with your tower drawer. We like to leave the floor clean and tidy.
6) Pizza day and chocolate milk is this Friday. Be sure to remember your money!
