Do you know women blink twice as much as men. That is interesting!
Did you also know that the Taj Mahal in India is made entirely out of marble?
1) Today's weather calls for mostly cloudy skies with some sunshine and a high temperature of 12 degrees. Keep wearing your coats! Where is summer??
2) How many more school days are left? Do the count. It is not very many! Keep working hard and do your best every day!
3) Health Facts:
Artificial sweeteners have more intense flavor than real sugar, so over time products like diet soda dull our senses to naturally sweet foods like fruit. Even more troubling, these sugar stand-ins have been shown to have the same effect on your body as sugar. "Artificial sweeteners trigger insulin, which sends your body into fat storage mode and leads to weight gain.
4) Reminder that this Friday and Monday there is no school due to the Easter Holidays. Be sure you have a couple of great nights of sleep! All teenagers need lots of sleep! A lot of sleep!!
5) Numerous spring sports and activities are starting up. Be sure to listen to the morning announcements to see where you might get involved.
6) Recycling. Keep it up! We truly appreciate students who are sorting the correctly at the recycle stations. Every item you recycle, is one less item in our landfill. The bigger question is, what do we do once we fill up our landfill?
7) France 2018. If you are a grade 7 student and are interested in going to France next year, see Mrs Ryan for details.
8) Pizza Thursday is coming up tomorrow! It is also Pellegrino day as well!
Remember your money!
9) And for today’s joke of the day:
Q: Why is a river rich?
A: It has two banks.
Q: Who sleeps with their shoes on?
