Pi Day:
Happy Pi Day Royal Oak! Today is the fourteenth day of the third month, representing the irrational madness of 3.14! A shout out to the Greek Mathematician Archimedes who spent time researching polygons to formulate the concept of Pi - a ratio between diameter and the circumference! Go enjoy some pie today ROMS!

Band Sectionals:
There is a saxophone sectional today at 12:47. Please bring your lunch.

Stage Band:
There is a Stage Band rehearsal today at 1:16. All members must attend.

Science Challengers: Science Challengers meet tomorrow in room 130 at lunch recess.

France 2017 Trip: Meeting today at 1:16 in Mrs. Ryan's room 234. All travelers must attend.

Dance Club: Dance Club meets today at lunch in the Drama Room 116. All dancers please attend.

Craft Club: Today at 1:16 in room 125.

Canteen today On sale at recess -Nachos, chocolate chip cookies, smoothies

Judo: Judo club after school today in MPR at 3:30 pm

Canteen tomorrow: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,

Lost & Found: Please check the lost and found for any items you may be missing. Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of the day on Thursday, March 16th.

Pellegrinos will be available at Pizza Day this Friday for $2 a can! Nothing goes better with delicious pizza than a cold refreshing pellegrino!


Volleyball: Congratulations to our grade 8 boys volleyball team on their playoff matches last night. The team did their best and managed to come 4th in the City Finals played at PCS yesterday. Great job Eagles!!!

Girls Field Hockey: All girls interested in playing field hockey for Royal Oak this season. Please go to a meeting today at First RECESS in the GYM with Ms. Fuller.

6/7 Intra murals: The grade 6/7 intramural basketball semi finals have been postponed until Thursday due to a scheduling conflict. The semi-finals and final will now be played on Thursday. Please listen carefully to the announcements tomorrow and Thursday for further details.

Gr 8 Intra Murals: Reminder to 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and staff of the intra-mural championship at lunch Wednesday.


Boys 6/7 and girls rugby meeting at lunch recess in the art room today.

Special notice that grade 8 boys rugby is now canceled due to lack of commitment.

1) Today's weather calls for cloudy skies with rain showers and a high of 13 degrees.    We think Spring is coming!!

2) Health Fact:

Healthy Living is about making healthy choices every day; healthy choices that keep us fit physically, mentally and spiritually. Eating well, being physically active and not smoking are three of the best things we can do to stay healthy. ... Living healthier is a personal choice, but everyone has a role to play.

3)  Our Japanese Students left this morning. A big thank you to the classes that came and viewed the Japanese culture fair projects.  The students will be flying home to Japan tomorrow.

4)  Our grade 8 boys play in the city championship last night at PCS.  The results were …..

5)  Lost and Found - the lost and found will be donated on Thursday.  Be sure to check for your missing items.

6) Report cards come out after spring break.  We are now well into term three.  It is time to set your goals for the final term of the year.
