Menzies PE Classes:
Reminder to all students in Mr. Menzies' PE classes to return your signed interim reports to him as soon as possible.
Games Club: The Games Club will be meeting in Room 125 at 1:16 pm.
Canteen Tuesday: On sale at recess -chocolate chip cookies, smoothies and mac and cheese. Cookies $1.00, smoothies 50 cents, mac & cheese $1.50
Conversation and Activities Club: Please join us for Conversations Club today in room 227. Meet new friends, learn about other cultures, and practice your English. All Royal Oak students are welcome to join us. Please see Ms. Beristain in room 219 for more information.
Grade 8's: Just a reminder that Friday March 3, is the deadline for Course Selection forms and the Sports Institute applications.
Volleyball: Congratulations to the three ROMS Girls volleyball teams that competed this weekend in the Spartan Middle School Classic hosted at Claremont. The ROMS 1 - Gr. 8 team defeated the Bayside Sharks to capture the gold medal. The ROMS 7's placed 4th in the grade 8 tournament losing to Central in the bronze medal match and the ROMS 2- Gr. 8 team came 5th. Congrats to all the players.
Congratulations to all of the girls volleyball teams who participated in the tournament at Claremont on the weekend, and a bit thanks to Mr. Ryan for putting on the event. Saturday had lots of great matches and all teams had a great time. Go Eagles!
Teams practicing today at SECOND Recess are: Ms. Espo's grade 6 girls, and Mr. Kenny's grade 8 boys team.

Congratulations to the Royal Oak Swim team on their success at this year's final swim meet last weekend. ROMS won several races and had great success overall. Thanks to all the parents who helped make this season possible by supervising practices and meets. Great job Eagles!
There will be a meeting for all students who were involved with swimming today at FIRST recess in the gym. All swimmers are expected to attend.

1) Today's weather calls for cloudy skies and a high of 4 degrees. YES! The forecast tells us that we will have rain clouds tomorrow with a temperature of 7degrees.
2) Health Fact:
Kids aged between 5 and 17 years need at least 60 minutes a day of moderate and vigorous activity. It’s even better to be active for up to three hours each day.
Moderate physical activity includes brisk walking, bike riding, skateboarding and dancing. Vigorous activities are ones which make you ‘huff and puff’, like running and playing games like basketball and football.
3) Grade 8’s! The Yearbook team still wants your baby photo! Email your photo to Ms. C
4) The World Famous Royal Oak Talent show will be March 3 That’s this Friday!
5) Grade 8’s - reminder that you will be going to Claremont tomorrow to tour the school. Please load buses at 1 pm.
6) Reminder to the Archery Club that you go to SCP every Thursday.
8) For the Gr 8 students and parents, the Claremont Counsellors will be Thursday to meet with parents. If you or your parents have questions, you need to book into this at the office.
