Good afternoon Royal Oak! Here are the News stories you have been waiting for. This is 751 News and Today is Thursday, February 9
Do you know that paper originated from China
Did you also know the film 'Mary Poppins' was filmed entirely indoors
1) The forecast tells us that we will have clouds and rain showers with a warmer temperature of 9 degrees. Spring is coming!! Keep fingers crossed.
2) You had to have liked the snow two days over this week!! No school on a Monday & Tuesday morning, what a treat! Always Tune in to CFAX radio or look at the District Web page to find out if schools are open or closed.
3) Health Fact:
In recent times there has been a drop in the amount of physical activity both adults and children do. Some of the reasons for this include new technologies that require less physical labour and increased time watching TV. It has been suggested that at least 60% of the world’s population doesn’t do enough exercise.
4) Please help keep our school grounds clean. They have been cleaned by several classes going out and picking up litter. On Feb 23, the hallway with the cleanest zone goes first for pizza!
4) We are now well into term 2. Be sure to check with your teachers to see how you are doing and to see if you are missing any assignments.
5) And for today’s joke of the day:
Q: What’s the different between a cat and a comma?
