Fuller's PE Classes:
For this week, get changed, bring your duo tang and a pencil and line up outside the MPR.
SPCA Fund raiser: Please help fill our donation box!! We are collecting donations of old blankets, old towels and pet toys. Donation drop off box is located outside the office.
Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order: Thunderbird Hallway, then Wolf, Orca and Raven.
All volleyball players are reminded to hand in their permission forms to Mr. Menzies ASAP as the season's opening games are just around the corner. Students will not be permitted to play unless these forms are handed in.
Volleyball teams practicing today are: Ms. Robson's and Ms. Blaikie's grade 7 girls team at SECOND recess, and also Ms. McManus' grade 8 girls team also at SECOND recess.
After school, the grade 8 boys competitive team practices as well as Mr. Ryan's grade 8 girls competitive team.
Reminder to athletic leadership members of your meeting today during advisory. All members must attend.
ROMS Hoodies: The Royal Oak Hoodie order has been submitted and will take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. Mr. Menzies will let students know when the hoodies arrive.
Attention grade 8 students - Mac Attack intra-murals will continue next Wednesday. Congrats to our first Mac and Cheese champs - Bowker, Junior Ryan and Howie. See you all next Wednesday.

Yearbook Orders: The 2016/2017 ROMS Yearbook is now available for Pre-Order! Yearbooks are 128 full colour pages with over 2,000 images from athletics, events, and many memories! Last year's book sold out in June so please be sure you pre-order and guarantee yourself a book delivered directly to your homeroom in June! The cost of this year's book is $38. Grade 8 students have until March 10th to email a baby photo to Miss Cottier (firstname.lastname@example.org).

A reminder to Parents of the 2017 Vancouver Island Parent Conference to be held on February 25, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at Royal Bay Secondary School in Colwood. Please see our School Calendar of Events on our main school website for further details.
PAC Bottle Drive:
ROMS PAC BOTTLE DRIVE – TODAY IS THE LAST DAY to drop of donations at the school.
There are many ROMS school projects that require PAC funding during the remainder of this school year. The PAC Is hosting a bottle drive from Jan 3-13 and they need our help. Please collect your returnable bottles/cans over the next few weeks and then consider donating them to the ROMS PAC to help support programs in our school.
You can also drop off all year at the Bottle depot. Please say

·All Funds raised will go directly to support school programs paid for by the PAC such as the costs of Home Ec aprons and athletic uniforms, etc.

Presentation By: Stu Rhodes, Career Counsellor and Apprenticeship Coordinator - Parents are invited to attend the general PAC meeting on Thursday, January 19th. Stu Rhodes will be speaking during a portion of the meeting on the opportunities available to students in the trades area. Stu Rhodes is a District Career Counsellor in Trades Industry training and works closely with Camosun College and local business owners. Parents are encouraged to attend as this is an excellent opportunity to learn about trades programs and career paths offered in carpentry, electrical, mechanics and Professional Cooks Training.

Country Grocer receipts: Save your receipts as PAC can earn gift cards to Country Grocer. The collection envelope is hanging by the PAC Bulletin Board at school.
COBS bread: PAC participates in the COBS bread fundraising program. Mention Royal Oak when you go in and 5% will go back to our school with every purchase.
Tru Value Grocery Store in Cordova Bay: Please mention Royal Oak, number 37. Tru Value donates a portion of every transaction to the local community.
