For this week, get changed, bring your duo tang and a pencil and line up outside the MPR.
Girls Circle: Girls Circle meets today at advisory, 11:40 in the Blue Conference Room. See you there!
Mindfulness Drawing Club: Today in Ms. Noel's Room during activity time, please bring pencil crayons, skinny felts, pencil,a ruler and glue.
SPCA Fund raiser: Please help fill our donation box!! We are collecting donations of old blankets, old towels and pet toys. Donation drop off box is located outside the office.
France Trip 2017: All grade 8 students going to France this year, please meet on Thursday Jan.12 in Mme Ryan's room.
Canteen today: Popcorn on sale at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,
Canteen Thursday: On sale at recess tomorrow -chocolate chip cookies , smoothies , burritos.
Found: IPOD found on the road near the school. Please claim at the office.
Found: VIKES blue gym bag was found outside the school on Tuesday morning.
Found: Boys Blue denim gym bag was turned in off a school bus prior to winter break.
Teams practicing after school today are Mr. Ryan's grade 8 girls team, and the grade 8 boys competitive team.
Tomorrow morning the 6/7 boys competitive and recreational teams practice at 7:45am. Players are encouraged to be there on time ready to play by this time.

All teams are reminded to hand in permission forms to Mr. Menzies ASAP as the season will be starting shortly.

1) Today's weather calls for sunny skies and a high of 1 degrees. The forecast tells us that we will be having sunny skies tomorrow as well but with a high of 2 degrees.
2) The PAC bottle drive is on! Please tell your parents that they can donate bottles to the school all this week!
3) ROMS Volleyball is in full swing! If you are on a team! Keep tuned to your practice times via the morning announcements
4) Ms. Mah's Boston terrier puppy got 152 presents from Santa this year! Can you believe it??
5) The Inauguration of the USA President Elect, Donald Trump, is happening in 10 days!
6) How could the lost and found fill up so fast? Have you lost your PE gym strip, water bottle or running shoes lately? Check out the L & F today!

Yearbook Orders: The 2016/2017 ROMS Yearbook is now available for Pre-Order! Yearbooks are 128 full colour pages with over 2,000 images from athletics, events, and many memories! Last year's book sold out in June so please be sure you pre-order and guarantee yourself a book delivered directly to your homeroom in June! The cost of this year's book is $38. Grade 8 students have until March 10th to email a baby photo to Miss Cottier (email@example.com).

PAC Bottle Drive:
There are many ROMS school projects that require PAC funding during the remainder of this school year. The PAC Is hosting a bottle drive from Jan 3-13 and they need our help. Please collect your returnable bottles/cans over the next few weeks and then consider donating them to the ROMS PAC to help support programs in our school.
You can also drop off all year at the Bottle depot. Please say

·All Funds raised will go directly to support school programs paid for by the PAC such as the costs of Home Ec aprons and athletic uniforms, etc.

Presentation By: Stu Rhodes, Career Counsellor and Apprenticeship Coordinator - Parents are invited to attend the general PAC meeting on Thursday, January 19th. Stu Rhodes will be speaking during a portion of the meeting on the opportunities available to students in the trades area. Stu Rhodes is a District Career Counsellor in Trades Industry training and works closely with Camosun College and local business owners. Parents are encouraged to attend as this is an excellent opportunity to learn about trades programs and career paths offered in carpentry, electrical, mechanics and Professional Cooks Training.

Country Grocer receipts: Save your receipts as PAC can earn gift cards to Country Grocer. The collection envelope is hanging by the PAC Bulletin Board at school.
COBS bread: PAC participates in the COBS bread fundraising program. Mention Royal Oak when you go in and 5% will go back to our school with every purchase.
