Grade 8 Intra murals:
Congrats to the division 8-3 Beefcakes on winning the grade 8 indoor soccer championship. Special mention, and a slice of za, to league MVP, Alex B., of 8-1. Stay tuned for the next grade 8 intra-mural event - Mac Attack! 


Basketball:


Grade 6/7 Competitive Boys: There will be a brief meeting for all grade 6/7 competitive boys basketball team members today at morning recess in the gym. Please be there on time and know how you are getting to the game this afternoon at Bayside.


Grade 8 Girls: Reminder of our practice on Monday morning and our game at Glanford in the afternoon.  Please tell your friends to be on time.

1) The Royal Oak will be our Craft and Gift Sale is Saturday, November 26 from 9:30 to 3 pm


2) Reminder that Friday is Pizza and Chocolate milk Day at RO. Div 8-6 will be the pizza helpers this week.


3) The average American is consuming over 60 pounds (28 kg) of added sugar per year and this does not include fruit juices (1). In 2008 the average intake was 76.7 grams per day, which equals 19 teaspoons or 306 calories. Watch your sugar intake kids!


4) Mr Grewal is retiring as the Principal of Lochside. If you see him in your travels, be sure to give him a big high 5


5) The Lost and Found is totally full! If you are missing a clothing item, you need to check out the lost & found. Items will be donated to a charity at the end of the day on Thursday, November 24th


6) Have you heard about the MindfulDrawing club?? If not talk to Ms. Noel!

Country Grocer receipts: Save your receipts as PAC can earn gift cards to Country Grocer. The collection envelope is hanging by the PAC Bulletin Board at school.

COBS bread: PAC participates in the COBS bread fund raising program. Mention Royal Oak when you go in and 5% will go back to our school with every purchase.


Tru Value Grocery Store in Cordova Bay: Please mention Royal Oak, number 37. Tru Value donates a portion of every transaction to the local community.


Purdys Chocolates Fundraiser: We have launched our Purdys Chocolates fundraiser – 25% of sales go directly back to Royal Oak Middle School. Visit the school website at royaloak.sd63.bc.ca to place your order. Deadline for orders is November 25th



Holiday Gift Sale: The ROMS Annual Craft and Silent Auction, is Saturday, November 26th from 9:30 - 3pm. Come do some Christmas shopping and support our school.
