Conversation and Activities Club:
Attention all students from other countries and who speak other languages:  Come out every Monday to room 227 for conversation, games, and snacks!  Meet new friends, learn about other cultures, and practice your English.  All Royal Oak students are welcome to join us.  Please see Ms. Beristain in room 219 for more information.  


Congratulations to the Grade 8 Girls Basketball team on their impressive victory over Lansdowne yesterday!  Reminder that next practice is at 7:45 on Monday!

There will be a very important meeting for all grade 8s on the rowing team at FIRST recess today in Mr. Large's room. All rowers must attend to discuss this weekend's upcoming City Championship Regatta.

Important notice to the grade 8 boys rec. basketball team of a vital meeting in Mr. Stanchfield's room at morning recess today.

There will be a meeting for all grade 6/7 boys on the competitive team at FIRST recess in the gym today. All players must attend and know how they are getting to the game at Cedar Hill this afternoon.

Teams practicing at SECOND recess today are: Both the 6/7 girls recreational and competitive teams. 

Practicing after school is the grade 8 Girls competitive team.

Did you know that cats spend 66% of their lives sleeping? That is a lot of sleeping!!!

1) The Royal Oak Craft and Gift Sale is coming soon! Yes, November 26 is the big day! If you are interested in putting in a table, go to our PAC web page to register.

2) We Day Students are off to Vancouver today! We wish them the best as they hear superstars from around the globe.

3)) “We Scare Hunger” campaign is on. Bring in your food items!! 2 days to go! Let's see which hallway brings in the most!

4) Our Remembrance Day ceremony is coming up next week. Please bring in your donation to the poppy fund!

5) Big thank you to the students who are returning the outdoor sports equipment to the big blue bin that Mr. Menzies puts out at recess! It is much appreciated.

6) Do not forget about homework club today after school! This is a great place for you to do school work!

7) Teen Fest is on this Saturday at the Pearkes Rec Center from 11 – 5 pm. This is a great place to learn what is new for you as a teen! There are extra free tickets for you or friends at the office. See you there!

8) There is a flute sectional today in the Band Room at 1:16.
