Screamfest is tonight and tomorrow night. Here are some reminders:

1)  Be sure to bring extra money to Screamfest for the many events.  Food and events cost extra. 

2)  Parking will be very tight.  Please car pool and have your parents park in: The church parking lot, school parking lot, on Greenlea, Royal Oak shopping Plaza.

3)  Be sure bring in your Cupcakes for the contest

4)  Remember your ticket that you purchased. 

5)  Screamfest goes from 6 - 9 pm. 

ROMS TV.  Be sure to watch ROMS TV today as we are having a very special guest appearance.  You do not want to miss out on today's episode! 

Reminder to Miss Fuller's Block 2 PE class to get changed first and then bring a pencil to Room 124 to write your Ultimate Frisbee Quiz.

Canteen today: On sale at recess - Cookies $1.00, smoothies 50 cents

Canteen Friday:  During first recess, Pellegrinos and Cheese Sticks will be on sale for $2 each in the canteen. 

We Day: Miss Cottier is still waiting on We Day forms from 12 participants! Please be sure that these are handed in prior to Wednesday, Nov 1st.

There is a Grade 6 Bass Guitar Sectional today at 1:16 in the Band Room.

Tomorrow is Pizza Day! $2.50 per slice.


Congratulations to the Grade 8 Girls Basketball Team on their impressive victory over Monterey last night.  Reminder of Practice at 7:45 on Monday -  Hallowe'en

Reminder to all basketball teams that practices at Royal Oak are cancelled this week due to the Halloween fundraiser in the gym. Practices will resume next week.

The Cross country team has their last race today at Juan de Fuca Rec Centre.  Runners who have not yet dropped off a form to Mr Azim, must do so at recess today. Runners will be leaving at 2:40 today.

There will be a meeting for all Swim team members in the MPR today at FIRST recess. All swimmers must attend.

Good afternoon Royal Oak! Here is your TV News stories for Thursday, October 27th

Did you know Ms. Espedido and Mr. Menzies will be appearing in the dunk tanks at Screamfest?

In fact they are going to be in the dunk tank on Thursday and Friday so be sure to bring your money to dunk these two teachers! Mr Hayes, VP from Claremont, will also be in the tank! Yee Hawww!

1) There is now zero sleep until Screamfest 2016! Screamfest is finally here! This year's event is beyond huge! Double Beyond scary! Triple Beyond Fun!  You can still buy tickets at the door. Remember students need to have parents attend and remember to bring extra money for the numerous events!! That's extra money! The revolving Vortex tunnel is totally wild!

2) Warning, Double warning!! Do not go in the haunted house alone!

3) ROMS News will no longer be broadcast on Fridays - This will be our last news cast for this week.

4) “We Scare Hunger” campaign is on! . Let's do our part to change our world by scaring off hunger! Every can helps!

5) There is a Grade 6 Bass Guitar Sectional today at 1:16 in the Band Room.

6) If you want to fit in and be a totally Cool Middle School Student, then you need to listen up. We have a very special expert with us today in the studio to teach you how to be cool in school! Please welcome Merel Middle School !!!!!

A big thank you to our guest, Ms Merel, for coming into our studio and giving us such an informative session! Thank you Merel and we look forward to having in our studio next month!

Home work Club. Extra support will be available to students on the following days:

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215
