Morning Radio News @ 9:05 am

Youth In Action: The list of successful participants in the 2016 We Day is now posted outside of Miss Cottier's and Ms. Smyth's classrooms.  We appreciate all the amazing and original projects that were submitted- it was extremely hard to narrow down the applicants.  We strongly encourage 6/7 students to apply again next year.

Screamfest tickets on sale today at 1:16 pm outside the office. $5. each

Grade 8 Hoodies: Last chance to order your Grade 8 Hoodie – on sale today at 1:16 pm outside the office. Order now!

Photo Orders: A reminder to students and staff to hand your photo orders into the office as soon as possible. Photo order deadline is today, Friday, October 14th.

Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order: First the Raven hallway, then the Thunderbird hallway, then the Wolf hallway and then the Orca hallway.

Found: Soccer cleats were found outside this morning. Please claim at the office.


Cross Country:
The ROMS cross country team put in a fine performance at yesterday's meet.  The next meet has been re-scheduled for Thursday, October 20 at Juan de Fuca.  There will be a brief information meeting on Monday at first recess in room 130.

Rowing: There is a rowing meeting today at first recess in Room 122 Mr. Large's room. Rowing jerseys will be handed out and regatta schedule.

Grade 6/7 Boys Basketball:
Attention all grade 6 and 7 boys playing basketball. There will be a mandatory practice today for ALL boys playing on both rec and competitive basketball teams today at SECOND recess. Please be there on time. That's mandatory basketball practice, today at SECOND recess, in the gym for all grade 6 and 7 boys.

Grade 7/8 Boys Rec Basketball:
There will be a mandatory meeting for all grade 8 boys interested in playing on the rec basketball team today at morning recess in the gym. That all grade 8 rec boys, meeting today, at FIRST recess in the gym.

Grade 7/8 Competitive Basketball:
Attention grade 8 boys competitive basketball teams. There is a practice today after school. Please be there on time and help remind your team mates. All players must attend.

Grade 8 Girls Basketball: Grade 8 Girls Basketball practice on Monday, Oct 17 at 8:00 am

Did you know There are 13 days until Screamfest! Get your tickets today at Lunch outside the office. Tickets are selling fast !

1) Photo Retake day is October 19th. If you have a photo order, be sure to drop it off in the office.

2) Saanich Fire Dept was most impressed with RO on how we did our fire drill. The one area to improve on is being quiet as we exit the building.

3) Parent Teacher interviews are coming up next Tuesday and Wednesday .

4) Grade 8's - Get your Hoodie! The Gr 8 2017 Hoodie will be on sale today at lunch!

5) Screamfest is needing your parents as volunteers. Remind your parents!

6) Swim Team is starting up! It is not too late to join! ! Talk to Mr. Menzies in the gym for details !

7) The Toronto Blue Jays will be taking on Cleveland tonight! Be sure to watch the game! Go Blue Jays !

8) NHL Hockey regular season has starts this week with the Canucks playing their first game tomorrow

Home work Club. Extra support will be available to students on the following days:

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215
