Ms. Fuller's PE Classes: Students that did not write the football quiz will do so today at FIRST RECESS in Room 124 on the Green Floor.

Band Sectionals:
There is a grade 6 Trombone and Baritone sectional today at 1:16 in the band room. 

Screamfest tickets on sale today & Friday at 1:16 pm outside the office. $5. each

Grade 8 Hoodies: Last chance to order your Grade 8 Hoodie – on sale today & Friday at 1:16 pm outside the office. Order now!

Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice

Photo Orders: A reminder to students and staff to hand your photo orders into the office as soon as possible.

Fire Drill: A reminder to staff & students that there is a fire drill today at 11:10 am. This is in participation with the Saanich Fire Dept for Fire Prevention Week. Please dress warm!


Grade 6/7 Girls Basketball:
Reminder to all grade 6/7 girls playing basketball of your team selection practice today at second recess. Please be there on time and all girls interested in playing are welcome. This will be the last team selection practice before teams are announced. Practice starts at 1:16 right after advisory.

Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball:
Reminder to all grade 7/8 girls of your basketball practice today after school. Please be there on time and help remind your teammates!

Cross Country: 

Any cross country runners going to today's meet at Lambrick Park School should have checked in with Mr Azim about transportation to the meet.  If you didn't check-in yesterday, please drop in to room 130 at first recess.

Good afternoon Royal Oak! Here is your TV News stories for Thursday, October 13th

There are 14 days until Screamfest! Get your tickets today and Friday at Lunch outside the office ! To honest.... - The haunted house is beyond scary. Tickets are selling fast !

1) Who is Tenneson S.? Tenneson is a grade 8 student here at RO. Tenneson loves to play football and he is a fan of the New York Giants. His favourite food is Bacon. On weekends Tenneson loves to sleep in and look after his baby brother. When Tenneson was born, he weighed only 4 lbs. Look for Tenneson in the halls, the guy with the cool hair cut!

2) Photo Retake day is October 19th. If you did not have your photo taken or require a retake, come with your package in hand for a retake. If you have a photo order, be sure to drop it off in the office.

3) Yes it is Fire Prevention week! Saanich Fire Dept was most impressed with RO on how we did our fire drill. Well done RO!

4) Parent Teacher interviews are coming up next Tuesday and Wednesday . Students remember to remind your parents.

5) Who is Harley W.? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out who Harley is.

6) Grade 8's - Get your Hoodie! FINAL chance. The Gr 8 2017 Hoodie will be on sale today and Friday at lunch!

7) The RO sports are going strong! . If you have questions about playing on intra mural teams! See Mr M in the gym! Wednesday at lunch is intra mural day!

8) Screamfest is needing your parents as volunteers. Make sure your parents know how to sign up for jobs on the web page.

9) Swim Team is starting up! First practice was today. It is not too late to join! ! Talk to Mr. Menzies in the gym for details !

10) The Toronto Blue Jays just keep on winning. They will now be taking on Cleveland! Be sure to watch the game on Friday! Go Blue Jays !

11) NHL Hockey regular season has starts this week. Remember RO is Canuck land. - Sorry Mr. Stanchfield

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215
