Morning Radio News @ 9:05 am

Voice Ensemble:
There is a Vocal Ensemble rehearsal today at 1:16 in the Band room. New members are always welcome!


Miss Fuller's PE Classes: Students that did not write the football quiz will do so tomorrow at FIRST RECESS in Room 124 on the Green Floor.


Miss Fuller's Science students: Students that missed the Cells Quiz will be writing the quiz on today at FIRST RECESS in Room 124 (Green floor).


Canteen today: Popcorn sold every Wednesday at first recess. Popcorn $1.50,


Drawing Club:
There is Mindful Drawing Group today in Ms Noel's room on the blue floor during outside activity time. Please bring a journal, pencil crayons,felts, pencil,sharpie and glue. 


Photo Order: A reminder to students and staff to hand your photo orders into the office as soon as possible.

ROMS SPORTS


Grade 6/7 Boys Basketball:
Reminder to all grade 6/7 boys playing basketball of your team selection practice today after school. Please be there on time and all boys interested in playing are welcome. Practice starts at 3:15 and end at 4:30pm.

Intra Murals: Notice to divisions 8-1, 8-3 and 8-7 and 8-8 of their intra-mural soccer games Wednesday at lunch. 


Cross Country: We will have a quick meeting today at lunch recess to record and arrange rides to our meet at Lambrick Park tomorrow.  Please bring in your completed driver form and if you haven't picked up that form yet, please see Mr Azim or Mrs Smyth.


ROMS Swim Team:Reminder to all students interesting in participating on the ROMS Swim Team to get your forms in to Mr. Menzies ASAP. The first practice in this Thursday 7:30am-8:30am at Commonwealth Pool.
Swimmers cannot participate unless they get their forms completed and handed in.

Good afternoon Royal Oak! Here is your TV News stories for Wednesday, October 12th


Did you know the colour orange was named after the fruit, not the other way around.


There are 15 days until Screamfest! Get your tickets Thursday and Friday at Lunch outside the office ! Bottom line - The haunted house is super scary this year! Tickets are selling fast – be sure to get yours! They can sell out so act now!


1) Who is Lats Tilly? Lars is a grade 8 student here at RO. . He is very active in soccer and dirt biking. Lars has a dog named Ginger who is a boarder collie. His favourite food is pizza. Lars comes from a hobby farm in the Prospect Lake area wher he has numerous animals to care for. Have a great day Lars!


2) School Photos - Remember Photo Retake day is October 19th.


3) It's Fire Prevention week! Always be ready for the loud bell to ring and to respond!


4) Parent Teacher interviews are coming up on Oct 18th and 19th. Students will be dismissed at 2:08 on these days.


5) Who is Tennyson ? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out who is Tennyson is


6) Grade 8's - order your 2017 Hoodie Thursday at lunch! You want to get your order in so you can wear the hoodie this school year!


7) The RO sports are going strong! . If you have questions about playing on intra mural teams! See Mr M in the gym! Wednesday at lunch is intr mural day!


8) Screamfest is looking for parent volunteers. Make sure your parents know how to sign up for jobs on our school web page. Scream fest will be bigger and better than last year!


9) Swim Team is starting up! First practice is tomorrow! Talk to Mr. Menzies in the gym for details !


10) The Toronto Blue Jays keep winning. They now are moving on to play Cleveland! Go Blue Jays Go !

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215
